Those rubber nubs around the screen are so ugly. How can Dell remove them from the XPS m1330 but not the Inspiron? They could at lease remove some of them or make them blend in more. How many do you really need?

Great point jervis.  I agree - these look much better.

This has been implimented.  The new Inspirons no longer have the ugly long nubs going down the sides of the lid.

They are ugly, but got a function to do there, you know.

If you reread the idea I said remove them or at least make them blend in more.

The XPS M1330 is brand new, and hasn't been around long enough to start cataloging complaints of "My display bezel is all scratched up from rubbing against the notebook chassis - and the chassis is getting all scratched up, too!" We've ordered a few of these machines, but haven't gotten them yet - but I can already imagine how quickly the plastic-plastic rubbing is going to quickly mar the sexy new look of the M1330.

They could at least try to make them look better.

The size, quantity, and placement of the "rubber nubs" was determined by extensive shock, drop, and vibration testing. Accordingly, the size, quantity, and placement of the "rubber nubs" will vary due to the characteristics of the specific system.

You have a point there, jervis. Now that you mention it. They are available, but not the complete strip, they are just small rubber grips.
