Saving energy-Weirdest Idea

We are already using our energy to operate KEYS. Can this force/energy be used to charge the battery.
Every letter typed charges the laptop for the next letter.

May be an absurd idea...I was just thinking of energy wasted  and this came to my mind.  Forgive me , if i have irritated all of you...

    Interesting idea. How do you envision the Web playing a role in making this work? Maybe something like the Nike+iPod app, where you can easily track and share miles walked/run?

    No worries pjn1975.  Here's an article on how DARPA is working to create boots that create power from the pressure exerted by a soldier while walking.  Perhaps something along those lines would be what you are asking for here.
