Having purchased a Dell widescreen  HD 24 inch monitor, I was disappointed to find out that it could not be mounted on a wall.  This option should be available on all monitors especially those that are 24-30 inch because the consumer may have purchased it for reasons other than computing.

    All Commercial flat panel monitors 24 -30 inches are designed with a standard VESA mount, and thus are capable of using an external arm or other mounting device.  I assume you purchased a Consumer monitor, which has a "fixed stand design " and thus is not conducive to mounting with an external arm.
