Dell should provide a way to assist customers find their service tag easier. I know that the computer has software that can show the customer their service tag, but, sometimes all I want to do is just "see" it.

Possibly better placement, either on the free space above the keyboard on a laptop... or on top of a tower for a desktop....

A great idea is a set of stickers customers could place anywhere they want for easy access!!!

Dell will sell you a larger Service Tag sticker if you request it when ordering but that doen't solve the issue. Just make the sticker larger on every unit.
How difficult can it be, they already have them, just use them.
And another thing maybe just use o or 0; or at least use a zero with a slash.

I do like the idea of a nice quality sticker containing Service Tag & Express Service Code numbers being included in the box, that the customer could apply to the top of their machine if they chose. This would be in addition to the company applied stickers on the bottom of the notebook. I wouldn't want to do away with those, because a customer or IT staff getting a notebook ready for use my forget to apply the loose stickers. I wouldn't want the stickers to be pre-applied to the top of the machine - I want to have the choice to apply them or not. There's plenty of posts here by people not happy with pre-applied stickers on their Dells, and I tend to agree with them! I know what processor and operating system I have on my machine. I don't need a sticker to remind me!

For those of us who are getting older or those who have sight and/or physical challenges, the location of the service tag and the small font make it difficult to access and see.

I liked this idea, in many situations the end user (mainly in big companies) got some problem to find the service tag number. People with disabilities, cannot up side down your notebooks, to see this number. good idea, for shure.

My XPS 410 already arrived with Service Tags mounted on the computer top, and also I received a Service Tag sticker that I could put anywhere I want to.

I would believe putting them anywhere would cause more confusion since it would be harder to point when trying tp locate the tag information. Maybe Dell a better design is to make the service tag and Express Service Code number LARGER!

Better yet. Create it into the design, impress it into the plastic/metal that the machine is made of. This will stop it being lost.

YES! I would place it on my monitor, so when I am asked for it, I know where to look.
