Implement Global Single Sign On!
Today when moving from IdeaStorm to Dell Forums I hit a strange problem. I couldn't log-in. Assuming I was getting my password wrong I clicked the "Forgot your password" link. Which promptly told me My e-mail address didn't exist.
I then noticed the little USA flag on the page. Every time I tried IdeaStorm kept redirecting me to the USA sign-on page. Finally I got in via the UK retail site. Then clicking 3 or 4 links to get to Dell Forums. This is a bit stupid.
Fix single sign-on so that I can sign-on where ever I happen to be in the world. I do occastionally travel around ya know!
This experience makes it really clear to me that Dell still isn't grasping the idea that it is a global company dealing and trading in global markets. Dell still clearly considers it's self a US exporter even though it has facilities all over the world.
Sadly it also tells me Dell thinks non-US customers are second class customers.
