Integrated DSL Modem, Router in Desktop Systems - and maybe more!

I just finished connecting my external DSL modem and the router - and re-configured everything after a move. Then I had a look at all the wires under my desk - the whole setup requires two surge protected power bars!  The printer and keyboard definately need to be external - but the router and the DSL modem need not be, and maybe not even the monitor and speakers. There must be room in that half-empty "tower" to put some more stuff that can be powered through the system? Design the "tower" to be placed on its side, have the antenae for the route come out of it at the back, place the montor on top - or better yet, integrated the monitor and the speakers like apple did in the 90's.
