Add fan control options to the Command Center for Alienware laptops.
The default fan control is very conservative for the CPU and GPU. This is fine for general use but for gaming which is what these machines are designed for the default fan profiles are insufficient for keeping the CPU and GPU cool.
User defined fan curves based on CPU and GPU temperatures like on the Area 51 and Aurora desktops would be very beneficial to maintain low temperatures and to prolong the life of the CPU and GPU

Maybe have user selectable profiles, but all of them have a failsafe. If anything gets to a certian temp, the system bypasses the user profile untill the system is back under control.I think that the alienadrenaline has this feature, but thats for the desktops.

I don't agree with full customization, but I do agree with the user being able to choose between the default profile and one or two more aggressive profiles, which keep the components cooler at the expense of more noise and more tear on the fan.Under no circumstances would I allow a milder fan profile than the default.

The thermal management system is finely-tuned to protect the system. Allowing a user to bypass the system would lead to tears.expatinasia

I agree. Alienware (and sometimes even max-spec XPS) laptops can get pretty hot, so it would be nice to have an option to offset the heat build-up.Hyncharas
