Dell Mini Ubuntu (Linux) Missing Webcam

It would be great if the Dell Mini product site would add back the webcam option for the Unbuntu Linux version of the product.

When the site first launched http://www.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/laptop-inspiron-9 , both the 0.3 megapixel camera and the 1.3 megapixel camera were available as configuration options, but they have since been dropped from the site when ordering the linux version of the product.

Any ideas from Dell on why the change in product offering? Any chance that this will be added back in as a product configuration offering? I have to imagine that the drivers for a webcam are available, and if not, there are plenty of developers who would be interested in building them.     It looks like the option to order the webcam is finally back on the product site for Windows XP and Ubuntu Linux models. Thank you Dell.

    When i started the thread, it was just missing on the Ubuntu model but for the time being, it's missing from windows and linux. Unfortunately, I cannot edit the original post.

    When the Linux computer first came out there was an option to get a webcam with the Linux version but now there is no longer that option. Does anybody have an idea when/if Dell will be offering webcams with the Dell Mini 9 Linux version? I'd like to buy the Dell computer but if they don't offer that option I am going to buy a netbook from a different vendor.

    I imagine that any computers pre-ordered will get the webcam, because that's where the lack of the webcam comes from.

    Give back the option to add a webcam to the mini 9. Two days after I print a copy of my wish list (which included a webcam) and give it to my wife to order as a gift, the webcam option is gone. Why? ....Note to Dell: You will lose a lot of holiday gift sales over this move.
