Current m14x is a good laptop but definitely gaming is not upto the alienware standard! Though it has 14 inch screen but it looks like 15 inch laptops and more important fact is that weight is not much reduced from its predecessor m15x! Sadly m14x has only has only one gpu option-gt555m which is not good enough for recent games in 900p and high details! So what was the point of cutting down its size and muscle?? 15.6 inch screen is far better than 14 inch in all kind of multimedia and gaming experience! At least m15x had the GTX series card support! please bring back the m15x!

I agree, I am seriously looking at buying a sager 15.6 inch. Why? Because I plug my m18x into a desktop monitor when I am at home, so does not matter if I have a 15, 17 or 18 inch laptop at home will use my dell 30 inch monitor. When on the road I want to bring my laptop with me but both the 17 inch and 18 inch are more then you need when traveling. The weight is 9 to 12 pounds and allot to carry. The 15 inch is perfect just right viewable and and weight for travel and can hold the 680m video card which I need when at home gaming and running my big monitor. The 14 inch is ok size but too small to hold the 680m graphic card or cool it. Get rid of the 14 inch and bring back the 15 inch. Sager has the whole market to themselves right now!!!! I have an alienware m17x, m18x and dell 15 xps old, i want to stay with Alienware but Falcon Northwest and Xotic pc and Origen looks to get my business because of this Dell oversight.

I do think the M15x is a more viable laptop than its 14-inch counterpart...

For one, being a 15-inch machine means it's much better competition with other laptops like it, and allows for a larger viewing area.  For another there are already plenty of 14-inch laptops sold by Dell; they may not be gaming rigs, but the M11x on it's highest spec has more power than the XPS 14z and would continue to serve as a truly portable system.

Lastly, people choose 15-inch machines because they are the niche between a high-performance desktop replacement and the very small M11x portable that can still handle games and DTP.
