The other day I had to look at a software problem on one of my parents' M11x laptops we own, when I noticed just how small the engraving plate was. This idea's nothing difficult - engraving plates are moderate depending on how big the laptop is, but they only allow a line of text...
Given their size and how successful they are, why not have a more advanced nameplate service where you can add additional information or, instead, a symbol engraved to help with identification if it's stolen and recovered?

I didn't mean to annoy people with this concept. I suppose I was just saying that; if people want a custom, one-of-a-kind tatoo on themselves or on jewellery, why not a small symbol on a laptop nameplate next to their name, to better help recover it after it's been stolen?Hyncharas
By offering this service to users, it further allows them to imprint their own identity or ownership on the equipment. Even if that means a customer might have to wait a few more days for it to arrive, it would be worth it.
