Carbon Fibre, Aluminium and GorillaGlass for other laptops?

Previously there's been talk on IdeaStorm about making laptops lighter, but people haven't been sure how to do it.  Then there's been the sudden announcement of the Dell XPS13 Ultrabook; a system built with a Carbon Fibre/Aluminium shell, as well the thin but versatile GorillaGlass for its display.  Now despite the fact its videos won't work the Ultrabook looks sweet, and the high-performance gaming models can get very hot, so this is a discussion into the viability of these materials used in other Dell products.

If these materials could be used, it could make the laptops stronger, lighter and improve heat dissipation when in use.  Is it possible or, alternatively, could it be researched?

    On a side point, the thread was intended to be about the possibility of migrating the Ultrabook's materials to other laptops.  Maybe we should relegate these teething problems to the Rockstar Private Forums and re-release the topic later on.

    I'm using version 4 of Firefox due to some functionality issues with other software in later builds, though I'm also using the most-recent version of Internet Explorer because I have Windows 7.  While it may not work with the former, the fact it won't work with the latter either suggests its the type of video player...

    What player do you use?  Have you also considered hosting the videos on Dell's YouTube Channel, and then embedding them that way into the popup windows?

    Sorry for the long delay, lots of things going on at home...

    I do have the latest version of Flash Player.  I've even tried uninstalling all Flash software and performing a clean install, but while the picture viewer works, the videos won't appear.

    I'm not having any issues with it. Do you have the latest Flash player installed and are you using a popup blocker?

    I've tried the videos at the bottom of the page on both Firefox and IE, whereby a popup opens for them, but the videos don't appear for viewing.  After 20mins I gave up.
