Dell Venue Android update? 2.2

I've been a fan of most all Dell products for many years now. Eight months ago I bought a Dell Venue phone and since then many of my friends who also have Android phones have now had two system updates! I'm really tired of Android 2.2! I'm almost to the point of going back to my Motrola Atrix but I really don't want to buy another phone again. Are we ever going to be able to receive the updates?

    Thats why i use only windows,
    cos i decide update or not, configure or not
    manipulate or not....
    i miss that on anoter os
