Not meant as a joke or as anything more than a reasonable suggestion for DELL to consider.

jervis961 has been a long time participant and helpful contributor on this website and the suggestion is not unreasonable. He is on here every day and makes most of the responses to the ideas posted daily. While you are currently getting his help for free. With DELL’s support he could be even more effective in providing feedback to the idea contributors.

Cy is fully part of the team and contributing on a daily basis. Great idea, gmat! We couldn't be happier to have Cy on the team.

Dell is listening gmat, it just takes a while to get things in place.  We have the Idea Partners starting up and are looking at all aspects of the site for improvement.  Dell has been very receptive to my input and I'm still in learning mode on all the inner workings of the site.  I plan on getting with the past members but want to get some things accomplished first.

Congratulation Cy! I know you will make an excellent addition to the Ideastorm Team. (IF it will listen to, and implement, some of your ideas for improvement). I also know that you will be a more Productive and Visible member, since you already are!

A suggestion, if I may. DELL has all of the e-mail address’ of past Ideastorm participators. Most, like myself, have stopped following any DELL websites and may be unaware of new developments. If you were to send e-mails to them, letting them know about your new involvement with Ideastorm, they may drop in again and get involved again themselves. Just a thought.

    Good Luck!

Sorry old friend. But you have a lot more patience, confidence and trust in the DELL corporation to do the right thing.

How many minutes in a day does it take to read the very few ideas posted here daily? How many minutes in a day does it take to provide a response to a post instead of pressing the “Status: Acknowledged” button? You have a full time job. Yet you can find the time to give helpful responses to posts and comments. Why can’t a DELL employee, whose job is supposed to be supporting this web site, do as much?

Not ALL change takes time! SOME changes require a lot of time to implement! SOME very little! There has been no visible improvement by DELL. Just actually participating more would require a minimal effort by Any DELL employee!

They had my interest again and lost it again. Anytime you feel like talking. You have my e-mail.

I do know that Bill B is out of the office with the birth of his son (saw it on facebook).   I'm sure there is more going on behind the scenes than we are aware of.  I saw that Bill J commented on my recent idea and I still believe he is trying to improve things.  Change takes time, especially at Dell.  :)

Hopefully there will be an update from them soon.

Yeah. What will DELL do with Bill B?

It’s been more than 2 months since the tag team of Bill & Bill came storming in to ideastorm. After all the big promises of a major change in DELL’s attention and active participation here. The only changes that I’ve been able to recognize is the change of moderator. And with that the tone of the (still) rare moderator comments. You and sugarbear are still providing the majority of feedback to the posters.

So, What will DELL do with Bill B? I don’t know. I guess whatever it is they’re doing with him now.

WOW!  I wasn't expecting that one gmat.  Thanks for the vote of confidence.  My fear would be losing my ability to contribute as a member as well as a moderator.  Besides, what would Dell do will Bill B?
