Slang to correct grammar (Firefox/Chrome addon)
If you're anything like me, seeing people type "im gonna" instead of "I'm going to", "ur" instead of "your", "i" instead of "I" and so on must annoy the heck out of you. So how about an addon for Firefox/Chrome that checks for bad grammar/slang and auto-corrects it? Something like ABP (AdBlockPlus), but for grammar. You could subscribe to various public lists of grammar and slang (i.e.: German, English, French, Russian, etc.) and never have to read annoying "l33t" or "lazy-man" English/German/etc. ever again.
For example, the lists would have pre-defined words such as uncapitalized personal names, countries, slang such as "u" for "you", "plz" for "please", "w8" for "wait" and so on. Also commonly miswritten words such as "grammer", "youre", "could of", etc. and acronyms such as "brb", "lol", "fyi", "imo", etc.
Excessive punctuation marks are also annoying (!!!!!!!!!, ........., ???!??!).
But to basically not mess up the entire website, text between certain HTML tags should never be modified (a, pre, code, input, button, style, textarea, form, span, etc.)
Certainly I can't be the only person who thinks this is an excellent idea?
