Even though i have a m17xr3 i agree if the m14x is gonna have a disk drive they should offer a blu-ray, but I think the m14xr2 would be better without a disk drive all together and have a mxm socket with dedicated gpu fan to off load the heat rather than the cpu and gpu sharing the fan.... besides you can get an external blu-ray/dvd player but if its coming with a dvd give the option for a blu-ray.

You'll probabaly find that they don't know how to make a blu-ray burner thin enough yet. Compared to most a 14-15" laptop isn't as spacious as a 17".Hyncharas
