  • Better Express/Service Tag

    Status: New

So looking at my laptop, the tackiest part of it is the express/service tag.  Every Dell I've ever had, and my Alienware, it always wears out and becomes unreadable even while it is still there.  My current tag has the laminated layer peeling off and it's annoying.  This is probably a problem on the products that get transported (laptops & tablets) more than stationary products (desktops & servers).

  • Years ago, when the Latitude E-Series was introduced, I complained about the sharp front edges of the palm rest that really start irritating users' palms after long use and submitted the idea to make sure to use rounded edges on future laptop models. Later E-Series models (e.g. 6430 indeed had more comfortable edges). Unfortunately, my newest acquisition, an XPS13, is back to a sharp, irritating edge. Yes, it looks slick but it is really unergonomic. Herewith I submit my idea once again to make eased, ergonomic front edges of laptop palm rests a must for new models, regardless of what the (visual) design team might say.

  • A laptop with two screens

    Status: New

How about a laptop with more than one screen? Many people use to monitors to work. If there was a laptop with two screens people could work faster. They would not have to keep switching pages on the one screen.

I do own a Dell M3800 mobile workstation. Only a USB docking station, which, let's face it, is a joke (sorry). In particular, the video over USB with gives a very limited resolution that is just not adequate for any workstation use. What should the docking station feature:- 4K display support (preferably twice), like for the Dell ones.- Gigabit Ethernet- Optical Audio Out- Power connector to charge notebook- single cable to notebook (preferabbly not a docking connector, more like a USB cable)- Thunderbolt connector to allow external PCY Express and other devices- Really great would naturally be wireless with induction-based charging.
