  •  I recently submitted an idea (http://www.ideastorm.com/idea2ReadIdea?v=1406801808772&Id=087700000009G72AAE) about serious Alienware peripherials. I've been asked to tell more specificly what would I add or change; I commented it, but no one replied, so now I'm going to explain my ideas better.  About headsets:  Headsets of different colours and preferences (wired/wireless for example), and better more designs (some people find the TactX headset ugly, but don't remove it)   About mice: Mice with more macros, with long and thin LED's (I like them) and more customization, like a mouse that comes with different weights to add or remove, or removable palm/thumb rests, or a wireless one.  About keyboards:  A mechanical keyboard. Also, the design of the current TactX keyboard is like the old laptops' keyboard, it's time to evolve. You should make one with at least four different lighting zones analog audio ports, USB ports, and you can do something really innovative (imagine that you don't like using a mouse in a certain game, and you prefer an Xbox360 controller, but you still like using WASD, SHIFT, SPACE, CTRL, etc. So you have something with analog joystick, RT and RB[and maybe some sort of horizontal scroll wheel :D] that you can plug in to the USB port at the right side of the new keyboard like if it was a USB flash memory) ^Something like this but not that ugly.

I like to try out different types of operating systems, but I also like the hardware to reflect the OS that it runs. For Windows, this is the standard Windows-style keyboard we all know. Chromebooks have their own keyboards, Macbooks as well. Though it seems like a minor issue, I'd really like to be able to select to have a Linux-style Super Key of some sort. Whether this is the Ubuntu logo, or Tux, just some kind of Linux-appropriate key would be nice to see on the Dell XPS 13 and it would 100% be my first-choice laptop for Linux development. I think best-case would be allowing the selection of multiple different Super Key styles to include everyone (Korora, Ubuntu, Arch, etc.) but I'd understand if this is an unreasonable request, and would in the very least be more than happy to accept an Ubuntu key instead. This laptop was made to work 100% with Ubuntu, I think it only makes sense to go 100% with the design and make it 100% a Linux laptop from a professional computer hardware manufacturer like Dell. Being a go-to for even a single fully-featured Ubuntu laptop completely themed to Ubuntu would set Dell apart from other manufacturers who just recommend purchasing a Windows machine and then installing Ubuntu over it.
