People’s eyes suffer from the negative impact of working on the notebook the most. We should work in conditions of various lighting: day and night, grey or extremely sunny weather. Evidently, it affects the eye not in the best way. Today, the techniques for regulating the screen lighting already exist. Indeed, it would be better the function of adapting the screen light to the surrounding could work automatically. The optimal screen lighting, the needed balances, and the contrasts should be developed by the ophthalmologists. Specialists on mental illnesses can also be involved in the implementing such “health programming” since the functioning of eyes and mind is in the strong relation.
I was in the market for a small/light (11.6" screen) laptop or 2-in-1. I did not care about the fastest processor, as it would be a second computer, but I did want 8GB of RAM, which in 2018 is really the minimum 90% of home/office customers need for web browsing, videos, Office, etc. None of your 11.6" home options offer more than 4GB of RAM. Worse, none of them are user-upgradeable; the RAM is soldered to the motherboard. SO I could not even buy an Inpspiron 11.6" 3179, for instance, and upgrade it myself to 8GB of RAM. As a result, Dell lost my business to a competitor. I highly recommend you at least make an option for 8GB for even your basic, cheap laptops. I would have loved 8GB in the Inspiron 3179 with a Pentium N4200 or Core m3 processor, and a small 128GB SSD. And I would have paid a premium to have that configuration. I am sure I am not alone.
Currenly, Dell Community is logging me out every few hours. This is quite inconvenient. Please bring back good old "Remember me" checkbox, to allow to stay signed in for a couple of weeks at least.
This may be a little specific, but I do quite a bit of data entry at work, mostly in Microsoft programs. I would like to be able to fill in several different fields in a form and copy all of those fields into their corresponding field on another form. For instance, I have to fill in information in about 12 different fields with different numbers in each field. I would like to be able to copy every field at the same time and paste the information into the corresponding field on a blank form all at one time instead of having to copy and paste each individual field.
Social tools :Socialisation with in employees, casual chats, discussion, get along with outside societies helps in generating new ideas and brainstorm it to form a structured idea or group of thoughts. My idea is to have a special discussion board for all employees to chat and right there concerns and respond to each other rather for them to keep there ideas in mind they should share them with each other and have more progress.
We could make the screen part of the laptop detachable and put a battery in that. It would essentially function as a tablet when detached. We could also put a battery in the keyboard part as well. This would give it two seperate battery sources which would function together power the laptop.
We all have the technology that we carry everywhere with us, and it always seems to die before we are done using it. I know, personally, I am tired of carrying around multiple chargers in my daily bag for all my techonology devices. Maybe if we could evolve the way we charge our tech products? By the sun, energy, longer batteries being installed, etc. I think solar powered charging could be really beneficial, especially people who do not have the benefit of working inside with plugs.
People use the touch-screen computers to surf the web, write e-mails, watch movies and read books. I just think about the touch computer mouse. It may be getting better when just touching the mouse will move.
You better do if fast..the first to market wins the lion share of the profits... Please come up with a dual monitor laptop. Every one has one on their desk, except on tdy trips or travel. Wouldn't it be a site to behold if someone had a dual monitor laptop while on travel... wow!! It would force everyone else to produce one or be out of date.Respectfully,Glenn Corbett
The cameras in the Dell Precision laptops should be compatible with Windows Hello login. Facial recognition is a lot quicker for those of us who do not absolutely need fingerprint access. The Precision lineup fits what I need (processing power, ports, etc.), but lacks a compatible camera. Thanks!
