Create your own Optimized Version Linux in order to Increase performance and reliability on your devices
I am Windows and Mac user from several years, I work with both daily. I know the advantages / disadvantages of both in function of the workflow and I experienced their evolutions. But never with Linux. Because of the lacking of PRO applications. BUT with this experience I think that THE FUTURE will need an OPEN OS. With the advantage that any computer company, like Dell, could sell its machines with an optimized OS for that specific hardware. In this way instead to have 3 (or n) totally different OS, there will be just ONE and OPEN, but with several version (optimizations of any specific big company). This will trigger the competitiveness that is needed for the continuous improvement of the industry, with the advantage of having a single standard adopted by everyone. In fact the benefits will be: Higher performance and response for all the machinesSimpler coding for the programmer, no huge porting work anymoreEach Computer Company focusing on particular target groups can create the best Ecosystem Hardware/Software optimizing the user workflows.More secure investment for the Computer companies, for the Application Software Companies and the end users, because everybody knows that the OS is solid and everybody are investing in the same OS.Evolution proof, being Open OS everybody can contribute to implement the OS and any Computer Company can develop their best OS version. The % of the current PC price, instead to go to Microsoft, goes to Dell… in order to implement the Open OS. So my input is to start this discussion with the other big computer companies and force all together in this direction. In the moment that one big Software name, like Adobe, will release their version for the Open OS, then the adoption from the user will be very fast. Thank you,Luca
Is Alienware making a mobile phone that can play games with all the same hardware and performance for gaming without buffering or lagging out? I am looking for a cellphone that can out perform most cellphones out there, something I can play games on and 3D gaming. Thinking about a cool designed Alienware cellphone that can do everything the Alienware laptops can do with a awesome case with a Built in signal monster and a longer lasting battery.
Add a microUSB or USB-C plug on top of notebook displays and monitors, and sell a separate, flexible little accessory with camera and microphones to plug in, WHEN DESIRED. Delete 'built in' cameras and microphones and other sensors. Most times, built-in cameras and microphones are INSECURE. Otherwise, a physical switch to visibly, physically disconnect such devices.Similarly, even for tablets, these sensors should be plug & play, not hard-wired into the hardware. Include any 'GPS' along with external accessories. Make it slim and flush, but make it possible to make it GO AWAY.A little camera and two stereo microphones, even molded to cute character shapes can be trivially plugged in for the one time in thousands that you want to 'teleconference', and it can be absent all the other times when it's possible for leaky, daily-compromised operating systems and software to grant access to creeps.
Add an external RAM slot to the laptop allowing users to increase RAM on the fly.
Dell should create an Android based smartphone that will directly connect with its computer hardware as well as Windows Software. Just like there is a tight link between Apple devices, Dell should create a phone that will talk directly to its computers and Windows software. Maybe this phone could even run Windows instead of Android. For that, Winows phones would have to be fine-tuned a bit more.
Is there a plan to develop a tablet or laptop with solar charging capabilities?
Motivation:Everybody knows it: We would like to have a decent ultrabook with long battery life, high portability and sleek design like an XPS-13. On the other hand, sometimes we need a bit more juice to play games or do some photo or video editing. However, nobody wants to buy multiple maschines, right? Moreover, if you travel a lot, this is not an option either. You would not take two laptops with you on the plane, would you? I find myself often in the situation that I stay in a place for a few weeks or months before coming back home. Thus, I have to decide whether I carry a 15 inch laptop with me to work every day or if I prefer the 13 inch more portable solution. In the latter case, gaming and video editing is virtually impossible and photo editing a pain in th a... Idea:Make an external GPU solution similar to the Razer Core. However, do not put a Desktop-GPU in there but a Laptop-GPU. This way, you can keep it small and portable. I guess something in between a 3.5 inch and 2.5 inch external hard drive should be the right size. Also, I do not expect that thing to be upgradable like the Core. To get it small and mostly noise-free a custom design is required. So I am totally fine with buying a new one every other year. It should look nice and sleek, though.Extras:I would recommend combining the device with some other functionality content creators typically need in order to further increase its value. Therefore, it should definitely have a build-in card reader and usb hub. Also, since it is a GPU, of course a displayport and maybe hdmi are essential. I could further imagine, though this might be a pro version, offering internal flash storage. Ethernet might also be nice to have. In any way, those additional features should not compromise the portability of the device. If it doesn't fit in my hand-lauggage with my xps-13, my camera and a few lenses, it is too large.
Hi,please build a wireless charging capability into the business notebooks. You started to provide a wireless dock, but I still have to plug the power cable. Why not implement an inductive charging coil into the bottom of the notebook and sell some kind of charging desk pad.RegardsChristian
Idea is simple, take the Dell MDS14 Dual Monitor Stand and combine it with the E-Port Plus Port Replicator with USB 3.0, offer it in a dual and tripple monitor setup, with the dock being integrated into the base of the monitor stand. This would allow for a neater desk with less cables.
