Dell Precision 13 inch version

Would be great if Dell created a Precision 5000 series with a 13 inch version. The version should include USB 3.0 ports as most business has yet to adapt the type c port, should be similar with the old version of the XPS 13 body. Same ports and an isolated fingerprint sensor while upgrading the new camera as well as the keyboard.

Touchpad

I have been a Dell customer for 30+ years for myself and various businesses. I would not buy another Dell laptop unless the touchpad was centered under the G&H keys (like the spacebar).Touchpads should be centered under the G&H keys (like the space bar). When placed off-center, touch typists (like myself) inadvertently set off the touchpad with parts of our hand and with heat from our hand. No sensitivity settings help. Lenovo and HP are going back to centering their touchpads underneath the G&H keys. Dell should do the same. For a good example, look at the Lenovo Yoga 920.  I can't imagine why any computer maker would NOT want to center the touchpad under the G&H keys (like the spacebar). Dell has some models with correct touchpads, but not the one I need.If you have a good reason for NOT centering your touchpad under the G&H keys (like the spacebar), I'd appreciate if you could let me know what it is. Would any customers be upset if the touchpad were centered under the G&H keys (like the spacebar)? I'm very active in design, and always interested in how these horrible design mistakes get perpetuated.  Thank you.

Convertible 2-in-1 Chromebook

I would like to see a 2-in-1 Convertible Chromebook with a similar form factor as the new XPS. Chrome OS is a very touch and pen friendly OS so it would be nice to see a 2-in-1 Chromebook from Dell. Dell's Chromebook 13 is a great high end Chromebook but it's high end competitors (Google's Pixelbook and Samsung's Chromebook Pro) offer more versitility by being convertible and giving the option to use with a stylus.

Silent Mouse

It is surprising to me that no one has invented a silent mouse yet. Keyboards are relatively quiet, but I know that it would be great as a graphic designer to not hear the constant click, click, clicking. I would suggest that Dell create a silent mouse accessory.

Ever since I played Battlefield 3 there's a AlienFX when you play the game which looks awesome! However, since battlefield 1 doesn't have one I really like it to be supported similar to battlefield 3!

electronic authentice drivers license & social security cards

I've had the idea for a couple of years ot creating a software or feature that allows the consumer to show and electronic copy of their driver's license and social security card.  It can be damaging if the wrong person got their hands on your personal identity information.  Some consumers, as dangerous as it may be, carry their social security cards in their wallets etc.  But rather than do this, why not show it electronically via a software that's been approved by the federal government that deems this technique as valid.  I hope this idea becomes reality!  It can help save someone's identity from being stolen.ThanksQuinn

Built-in firewall

It strikes me that today's routers provide pretty good protection against a lot of non-user-initiated attacks against the OS.  They're also very inexpensive.  That sparked an idea:How about building the firewall portion right onto the motherboard of today's laptops and desktops. It should be possible to bundle that into a single chip.  It should sit between the motherboard and any built-in network connection, like wired Ethernet and Wi-Fi cards.  (3rd party devices, like a USB Wi-Fi dongle would have to fend for itself.)  It could be configured to act almost like a separate component.  Most of the configuration could be done through a browser, just like today's routers.  There should be an option to bypass the firewall on some of the connections, for maximum performance when necessary. This would provide the ability to plug in/log in to any network without exposing the OS to potential attack.  Say, a laptop being used on a poorly-configured coffee shop Wi-Fi that exposes the customers' computers to each other.  Or, attending a LAN party and plugging your desktop into a new network. This would also give Dell an opportunity, for a while, to advertise that their computers are better protected than the competition.

Easy access to laptop filter

One of the most frustrating parts of owning a laptop is, after a coupla years, the filter to the cooling has gotten so clogged with dust that the laptop starts shutting down randomly. The frustating part isn't that it happens.  What's frustrating is that simply cleaning the filter involves nearly breaking down the entire laptop.  Usually from 20-40 screws, often removing the keyboard, and once, I had to remove the monitor.  One time, I had to go get some thermal paste because there was no way to get at the filter without removing the entire radiator assembly, including the heat sink on the CPU.So, my request is, please provide very simple one- or two-screw access to the filter in front of the radiator.  No special tools required.
