Why don't Dell develop the possibility to control volume or brightness by gesture command? So you'll be able to modify volume while you're watching a tv series or a movie on the sofa.
Since the system is weightless you should ship a free string with it to tie around your hand so it doesn't drift away like a balloon. :)

It would be great if all the current BIOS updates could be posted on a single page for SCCM system administrators, such as the Dell Command | Deploy page or Command | Configure page. It would also be nice to have the newest 32bit/64bit TPM 1.2/2.0 updaters and the x64 BIOS updater on the same page. Finding the newest TPM updater is especially difficult right now, because they are not all on one page, and when you do find a page for one of them it doesn't say whether it is the most current.
It would be nice to see some of the following things in the next dell xps refresh. Because of these reasons I haven't bought one yet/waiting for refresh. I am a student and I'm only at home in the weekends so I am looking for a nice laptop. I know the dell xps can handle all these things but still it would be great to see these things change. - full speed thunderbolt connection- maybe a maxq gtx 1060 as the power is only 60 watt instead of 50 with the 1050 (don't know if this is actually possible but it would be very nice)- coffee lake cpu- 1 tb ssd option (only 500 gb available where I am from)- maybe option for other colors (not so important)- charging via usb/c thunderbolt and more of these ports would be nice aswell- reaction time for screen a little lower, I think it is about 20 ms which is very high not sure if it actually makes a big impactThese are the things I would like to see. Tell me what you think about it and what you would like to see on the next refresh.
The Internet of things is the network of physical devices, vehicles, and other items embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators, and network connectivity which enable these objects to collect and exchange data. using this we can create a hub of wireless network where all these devices are connected intermidiately on the same network and the exchange of data takes places between the devices without the necessity of servers. Here devices are peer to peer. only the required information will be exchanged between each other devices. This creates a serverless platform where data exchange can be made more accurate and reliable by using some techniques of data compression so whatever the data stored on the internet can be compressed and divide and deposit the data on each device that are connected on our network. Here only we need a strong server and no else where servers are required. this can help in bringing big data solution and also saving up power consumed by servers and also a way to change the concept of internet access.
You know how toasters have a crumb tray for easy cleaning? I was thinking that keyboards should too. In my office, keyboards can get disgusting internally, and the only way we can clean them out right now is by turning them upside down and shaking. If a keyboard had a crumb tray, a removeable bottom, or even just a hinged door on one end, it would make cleaning out keyboards a dream!
The computer itself has many USB connections to charge phones when you are sitting at your desk or at home or anywhere you are using your laptop. That is a great thing about laptops. They go where you need them to. But in the day when phones go through battery power line nothing, wouldn't it be nice to allow your laptop to help you with this too?If the removeable battery pack in your laptop also had a USB port then when you leave work and realize your phone is about to die and you are heading out on the town, you could simply pop your battery out of your laptop, plug in your charging cable, to the battery and phone, and put it in your purse, backpack or whatever and let it charge. You could use the power you already have instead of having to buy and additional battery pack to charge your phone.
In professional work we use numeric keypad alot and it's not efficient to take hand of the mouse every time we need to put some dimensions,The keyobards for gamers are very popular, some can switch the numpad to the left side (like sidewinder X6) or even more popular Logitech g510s that can be programmed to the left side along with extra macro keys,Could you please make a Precision series laptop for professionals with keypad on the left side instead so that we can work more easily and wrist-friendly ? I'd be even better if there was a switch between numbers and programmable keys like the logitech gaming keyboards have,Kind regards,Przemek
Lets be honest even if we love the stroke and plenty of travel of the keys in the present AW laptop keyboards, the style is grossly outdated and doesn't make any sense in 2017. They are difficult to clean, doesn't look good and zone lighting doesn't even comes close to individual RGB lighting of the keys that many current rivals are implementing.Suggested Revisions for next refresh: 1. Indivitually lit RGB chicklet style keyboard2. buttonless microsoft precision touchpad3. Nvidia Max Q graphics4. Thinner bezels of the display
In addition to current design, more flexibilities in design on laptop...features..like for games: Small detachable handle and buttons zone for game plays..on laptops..
