Produce monitors with the same, interactive screen on both the front and back. This would prevent having to turn ones monitor so that a person sitting opposite can view what is being discussed. This would be useful in financial markets, doctor offices, insurance companies, businesses, schools, and anywhere that an individual wants to show another what is on their screen, but had to constantly turn the screen for the other person to view it. One side (front) monitor allows the presenter to continue without turning it for the viewer to see, while the viewer can see what is being presented, no screen turning, no craning necks. Both presenter and viewer could have access, by mouse, of pointing items of concern.
3 s – stability security save A new concept for smart people Ordinary people use computer for different goals- use computer to play games or navigate to internet and to use social media- use to write, to draw or to calculate tax- use to make shopping and payThe specialist use computer at work for different and special jobs But all this need 3 s 1.stability at operation system and have a button or a key combination to revert at a stability version of software when take a virus2. security for date who use and for work who made3.save periodically the work For example, an account makes and write everyday thousand of operation and he is needing to save his work. Maybe if the computer has an additional hard disk who save the accounts work - the account is happier – this is a computer for accounting – your data is save automatically A parent want that the children make safety when navigate to internet and maybe if parents receive a data report (make a simple software) and have possibility to block some address … a intelligent parents choose this product who have a little software When your computer receives a virus is a bad day and is must to go to a specialist to fixes ..but if I have a key combination… PS. a account search for a solution to save daily work, a parent search a solution to control internet navigation
The packing list STICKER (that is on every new Dell order) needs to be changed to something else. When you get a new machine and you want to keep your packing list, what does a customer do with this sticker? The adhesive is stronger than most duct tape!So what is the direction of Dell? Customers supposed to stick this to a piece of paper and then file it?Before we get far, examine one. THE PACKING LIST IS IN ALL CAPS AND THE FONT IS SO SMALL HOW IS ANYONE ABLE TO READ IT? So there's strike 2. Not user friendly and IMO, worthless. This entire process needs to be redesigned. Eliminate the STICKER and the CAPS.
I live in Belgium and bought the XPS 13" for its touchscreen HOWEVER the reflective screen drives me nuts when i sit near a window at home or in the office with the lights on. Simple request: please make XPS 13" models that have an anti-glare touchscreen (FHD or QHD+) and also make it available in countries like Belgium. Please give this idea a vote up if you support it. Thanks.
I think Michael Dell should think about buying Airline companies that are about to be bankrupt or cheap ones like Air India for example, and other things. Or it can start its own Airline company, with its own tablets and every by dell for the entertainment system. I do have some Ideas for that, but meanwhile this is all.
I was angry at a family member and called them a few times as I realized they forgot to charge thier phone. I was sitting there on the phone and saw a magazine with a woman on the cover carrying a very thin computer. I lifted it up, it was my dell product catalog. I leafed through the pages, noticed microsoft works on each one, (looks great by the way) and got to the end. First I wondered what your yearly income from the periodical distribution is. Its really gorgoeous, then I was wondering why there wasn't a qr code on it. I stared at the pages as the phone rang. Then i realized that sometimes even if theres too much there should be more. Music and an interactive screen. I kept imagining a periodical from dell, with a weird little sticker on the end over the intel image which said peel me. Then an intro into dell products with weak audio would start to play on a mini screen the same size as the intel icon on the back of your product periodical. Lg not too long ago came out with a super flat thin scren tv thats translucent. I mean, all you would need is a very thin small piezoelectric speaker layer on the outside of the screen. I know, ludicrous, even if the worlds best technology exists, some people may think they can't afford it, too 'spectacular', something like a printed simple process mini screen might bridge that gap and increase your audience even further. Just a thought. Could even function as simply as minaturized led's. But, its not my place to come up with such wild things, I'm a very decent and calm person. Have a great day.
Yep, you read right. This is a big idea, in the sense that, it requires alot of time, effort and money! I was never a big fan of Dell's inspiron or Xps line of laptop machines or to be honest, any of their 'for home' systems. They looked unappealing and horribly outdated. However alot has changed and Dell seems to have done a fabulous job with combining practicality with elegant design. I'm a huge fan of their new XPS lineup and I'm sure alot of you reading this are too. However....there's just one little piece of aluminium that seems out of place....the logo. It just feels out of place and dated. A great example of an apporpriate logo refresh is HP...on their premium laptops, the new logo fits perfectly. Previous assosiations with the tradtional "work" related HP are almost forgetten when you look at their new logo (kinda...it's premium at least ;P) . Granted, it's not on all their products, and it doesn't need to be (that's debatable). But they're premium line has a consistent elegant look and feel. Your XPS line are your "premium" line of laptops.....so changing the logo on those machines at least, would be a welcome change. Obviously you'd have to consider its benefit/ROI...and hopefully this post would be a decent (or atleast a small ) indicator...that...it's worth it : ) Ps: If anyone has any design ideas...please feel free to share it Thanks : )
I bought my laptop about 6 months ago. It is currently in the process of being replaced throught the warranty. When I was informed the computer was going to be replaced I immediatedly inquired about the possibility of getting some upgrades. I was told that this was not possible. The reason I wanted the upgrades is because the system was all I could afford at the time I bought it.It is my suggestion that in circumstances like this (system being replaced under warranty) the customer be allowed to purchase upgrades or even buy a different computer.
I like this platform, I think it's a great way of communicating and essentially outsourcing (or crowdsourcing) creative ideas without a huge financial commitment. However, I don't think you value this tool as much as you should. I didn't find out about ideastorm, untill one of your support staff told me about it..and if I'm honest, I'm not 100% if that's how I found it. I think you should promote it a little better, have it on your website/alienware pages ("Got an idea??why not share it with us?"..something like that) so first time visitors or visitors in general would be aware that this platform exists. Granted, your forums are a good place for ideas, and so are genearl discussion boards; but I think it would be a lot more effecient to have a centralised place for new ideas and improvements. Also promote it on social media. Pick an "Idea of the day" and ask for people's opinions on social media. (not sure if you do that already) Have it at the bottom of email correspondenses. Even bring businesses into this. I know you provide IT services to organisations, so why not make them aware of this tool...Finally, create incentives...I'm gonna leave that to you. But creating incentives would greatly benefit this cause. It takes time and effort to write up and share an idea...so reward people for it...or atleast create an incentive. From what I've noticed, most of the ideas pre 2011 have upwards of 100 votes...nowadays the maximum is around 10. Obviously that depends on the quality of the idea, but surely it relects (even in the least) that your number of users has decreased dramatically. Improvements/Fixes: 1) Editing posts:- It would be handy to be able to edit posts, once they're already deployed. 2) BIU Fix:- I've found that even if I "Bold" a sentence or a word in your editor...it doesn't appear bold 3) Coments: - Indendations for replys would be useful 4) Email notifications:- Honestly, I apologise if this offends anyone (that's not my intention)...they're garbage! It'd be nice if you could format them in a way..so that users can identify what is going on in a single glance. What I mean by that is have a heading (Your Idea..."Blah blah blah) ---in heading font has recieved a new comment... and provide a snapshot of the comment in context....not just a URL!! And please don't send me notifications that I've made a comment on my idea....I am already aware of this 0_o I know this is nitpicking but honestly, it's little things like this...it just feels like you don't care about this platform enough to make it easy to use! 5) Look and feel: This is a little bit debatable...but could you modernise the overall look and feel of the site. I get that Dell's signature colors are blue and white....but it almost seems a little too clinical : ) maby changing fonts....adding the odd color button ...pictures...etc : )If anyone else has any thoughts/ideas...please feel free to share thanks for reading : )
