Hello,Since 2003 I am professionaly working with Dell Latitude Laptops (D600)May I suggest that the keyboard which is used on the E5550 and my current E5570 is not the most comfortable one.Never made I so much typo's as in the last years I used this new style. The best keyboard yet was on it's predecessor, the Latitude E6540. The amount of typo's is way less as in use of the current keyboard. This I want to share with you and I'll be happy to help you testing new developed Latitude products.
Things have been really heading South between Dell and me lately. Within 2 weeks I now have two products, of which I've been trying to purchase additional supplies for and I cannot.1) MD 3220i Storage Array. Consists of 12, 7200rpm 500G drives. I would like to expand my array by adding more hard drives. Can I do that? No. Dell doesn't carry these anymore. Can I just get any 2.5" 7200rpm drive and use it? No. Has to be Dell branded with the firmware that is compatible with a Dell 3220i.Only solution - purchase expensive SSD drives and segment my array. I can still extend my warranty for another 2 years, but the upgrades for it will be non-existant.2) Dell M115HD projectorAttempted to get a new bulb for it today. Dell rep says, "Sorry, this part is not avialable and we won't know when it will be." Unit was purchased in 2014 with a 30,000 hr bulb. That's around 3.4 years of use. We didn't even get to a fraction of that and now this part is unavailable. That would significantly imply that Dell has ran out of these bulbs because everyone else who purchased this M115HD has also burned out their bulb?As reference: Remember the Dell 1765C printer that Dell used to sell back in 2013? In less than 1 year it was removed from the shelf. No warning. Most companies try to keep their consumables the same so they're not ordering several types of toner. So what do we tell our clients (one who happens to have bought 5 of these Dell C1765 printers) that they're no longer available? Typical response from Dell, "Get the new E525". Great! But are the toners compatible from the C1765 to the E525? Nope. If you put them side by side though, you won't be able to tell. (IDEA) As a dedicated Dell customer and reseller, Dell needs to revamp its inventory process. There is absoluely no reason why any Dell customer should spend this much money and suprisingly find out that: 1) Its unknown as to when parts will be available and 2) Additional parts or upgrades are no longer available (even if your system is under warranty). Many of you should ask your Dell Account Representative: If I buy this Dell product, will I have the availablity of getting upgrade parts for it in the future? Granted, we all have our reasonable timelines as to when we can expect a merchant to keep items on hand, but lately, this hasn't been the case. Everything points to bad logistics on Dell's part and Dell's customers are taking the hit for it.
As a past client of Wyse, (even after Dell acquired them) Wyse used to include a keyboard and mouse with their thin client models. The great feature with the units we bought in the past, (actual branded Wyse keyboards and mice) was the mouse would plug directly into the keyboard and then the keyboard (via USB) would plug into the Wyse terminal. Now with the 3030 and 3040 the keyboard and mice are just standard parts. With the extreme compact size of the 3040, why is Dell going backwards with the accessories? Now I have to run 2 cords to the 3040 instead of one and that doesn't even cover the fact that the laser on the Dell branded mouse is horrible. We never had issues with the Wyse branded units. So in short, my idea is to bring back the PS2 mice the plug directly into the USB keyboard. Keep things nice and compact like they have always been.
Dell needs to have a "reorder" option for past orders. I have several staple products (ie.. printer toner) that I order every month and what a hassle it is to find the toner I need. Right now I go to: Shop > Assessories & Peripherals > Printers, Ink and Toner > Color Laser > Model > Select Item > Order, done. Why not have an option within past orders and/or within your profile have a list of prevously ordered items with the "Order Again" option. Future menus then would be: Shop > Previous Ordered Items > Select Item > Order, Done.Better yet, also give customers an option of "automatic" reoccuring ordering and shipping. Send this shipment every month or whatever the timeline the customer sets. My time becomes more efficient and Dell still gets a sale on a reoccuring order. Customer satisfaction.
I would love to see XPS 15 models with a numeric keypad like 15" Asus, HP laptops have. I work alot with numbers so a laptop with keypad is important to me.
With a job where I'm constantly writing letters and correspondences all day, it would be extremely handy to have 3 or 4 keys that you could program on your keyboard to type a specific thing, i.e. my email, our company name, "thank you", etc. I find myself constantly writing these things on misc. correspondences all day and with a very long company name and email, having a shortcut with a click of a button would come in handy.
This is a pad with the capability of holding any kind of document. The user sends the document from a computer to the device. This is its sole purpose. It would be about the same size as printer paper. Somebody could buy more than one while being able to change the document at any time. It acts as if it was printed out. A user can set the pad next to his/her computer/laptop and view it with ease. The pads could be taken to meetings or speeches. Because it holds temporary documents the memory does not have to be too big.
"Market Problem" : In INDIA Power cuts are very high and usage of mobiles are also very high but with continues usage power in the battery is getting to zero percent and mobiles are going to shutting down. At this time mobiles are connected to laptops when the laptop is ON mode only. But it is a time consuming one and some of the power is wasted due to active mode of laptop and totally it is a lengthy process to charge mobile battery."Solution" : For these problem, with the help of an extra USB port and a POWER BUTTON we setuped nearer to laptop battery to connect mobile battery and laptop battery to transmit power from lapi battery to mobile battery in the presence of lapi off mode also."Existing Alternates" : power banks , laptop when in ON mode only etc.,"Differentator" : Mobile battery can be charged when lapi is in OFF mode also in my idea and above existing alternates it cant possible."view design" :
