About a year and a half ago my trackpad stopped functioning completely (a hardware issue) and I needed Dell to fix it. I remember my mother having a hardware issue with her laptop camera years prior and Dell got someone to come to our house and fix it. Dell technical support did not allow me to do that since my warranty expired, so I renewed my warranty, but they then basically said home repairs was the only "feature" unavaible to renewed warranties (past original warranty expiration), why is that? I even asked just to pay for the service directly if renewing the warranty didn't work, that wasn't an option either. As a college student, I had to deal with a broken trackpad for 2 months until the semester ended because I couldn't simply ship my only laptop out for a week during classes. Home Repairs is essential for college students and people with small businesses, etc... as they may not be able to conduct work without a computer. Please let this be something that anyone could have access to if they pay for the service via renewing a warranty or directly.

In 2012, I bought the XPS 14 laptop. I am still using it to this day and it is a brilliant laptop. One of the greatest things about it is its 14 inch screen - the laptop is not too big like a 15 inch yet not too small like a 13 inch. 14 inches is simply a perfect laptop size, especially for college students like me. Please reconsider bringing back the XPS 14 in the future! Maybe even bring it back with that amazing "borderless" XPS 13-style display.

I love the idea of a powerful gaming system and I love Alienware's distinctive and rather innovative design philsophy. If they could nail the mobility form factor as well as they do the other areas, why would you choose anything else! Anyone remember the M11x ? That thing was amazing, great performance (for that form factor), reasonable price point and ultra mobile. Imagine that as a tablet!So my proposal is for (as the title suggests) an Alienware tablet!- something thats affordable (i.e. at a lower price point that their other mobile offerings- distinctive Innovative designs - preferably android....but that kind of pushes the gaming side of it to one side (with steam etc...) - maybe even an Alienware stream/cloud- Most importantly: allows for on the go gaming power ! I'd love to hear your thoughts : )

Dell, can you release a C/C++ SDK that allows users to build Alienware apps?Currently, AlienFX is limited to Command Center and some games that support it. Unfortunately, the other "alien aspects" (fan table and BIOS, for instance) are locked.Allowing users to build their own Alienware app will enable them to have greater control of their systems.This can even be expanded to an Alienware app center.
Dell Should get back to the basics. Go back to making solid computers/tablets that last a long time. The few extra dollars that it may cost would make Dell Customers happier and it would help to keep customers(this is very important). Don't use a cheaper model of wireless adapter that has issues. Use the better parts and allow the companies that the parts came from, allow for their drivers to install using Windows Updates. Example, Intel Wireless adapters would update through Windows Updates. Nvidia drivers would also update through Windows Updates, Etc... Basic computers with fast processors and allow for large ammounts of RAM.
