Interactive Projected Phone/Tablet/Computer Screen

Imagine a phone/tablet screen that you can project and use to navigate your device. With the ability to interact with the phone through the projection, it would be revolutionary.May you ask, how does this work?A built in the projector will blow subtle air on a flat surface and project an image on the said surface. When you tap or touch the projection, your phone/tablet will sense the disturbance in the air and will enable interaction by calculating where your finger is positioned through motion.I hope this idea can be developed for I know that this would change the face of phone/tablet technology forever.Yours faithfully,Jay Thacker

Restore those High-end Audio processors!

Dell has to restore those high-end audio chips. Very few laptops are included with high-end audio chips and most of them are just included with software-based audio acceleration paired with common chips. These chips often have driver and/or hardware-based issues which summon problems such as white noise, cracking noise and even BSOD. Dell has to stop using mainstream chips. Please restore those high-end chips (e.g Creative's Sound Core3D). Vielen dank.

a tablet for students

Hello, my name is Oscar and I am a fulltime student while working a fulltime job. I sleep more in my car than I do in my bed. I also spend more time on my tablets than anything else. My tablets allow me to do my homework and they also entertain me. When I’m not doing my school work im using my tablet to read or watch some movies but I mostly do work. I have two tablets, a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and a Nook HD+. I use my Note more often than my HD+ because it’s my daily carry but I enjoy the HD+ over the Note.I carry the note due to its ability to write. The tablet itself is atrocious, slow, and just awful to use but it has a stylus which I need to take notes. The tablet was sort of a gift so at least I didn’t spend any of my money but regardless of that fact I still feel like I over paid! On the other hand I love using my HD+ for reading because it has not only a great HD screen with the right dimensions, it has a great battery life. For this reason I use it for reading not only my textbooks, but my comic books and magazines. It just so happens that I was looking for a new tablet when I stumbled on an article regarding the Dell Venue 8 7000 and was awestruck. Now I have to clarify, it wasn’t the tablet that struck me (although it is pretty epic) but it was the fact that dell was putting this much effort into a tablet. The 7000 reminded me of the Huawei MediaPad X1 which is the tablet that I was looking to buy due to its aesthetics and great battery. So, what’s my idea? My idea is that Dell should make a tablet aimed at students. A slim yet powerful tablet designed to fulfill the needs of a student’s daily needs. I believe that the Dell Venue 8 7000 would fit the need if it had a few adjustments. HD 4:3 screen aspect ratio which would make it ideal for reading textbooks. Stylus support. Expandable Memory slot. Huge battery for long school and work days. Now these suggestions might not seem like much but for many like me it would mean the world. There are many apps on the android market that are designed to help us students out but they are useless without the proper hardware to run them on. I hope that my idea is at least considered even if my suggestions are ignored. At least that way I would feel like someone might create a product that would be of benefit for us.

Hello friends,I,m using inspiron 1545 more than 4 years. when you see the en.community.dell.com, they have only xps and alienware owner club. Why are you still didn't start Inspiron Owner club?  Dell's Inspiron computer product line started as a range of laptop computers targeted at the entry-level budget.  In all over the world, there are huge number of inspiron users other than model's.   we love our model and brand.  so, I suggest you to start INSPIRON owner club as soon as earlier.

Replace my cable box with a Wyse thin client

Sep 14, 2014

This past week, I had to call my cable television provider (Cox Communications) to come out and replace for a 2nd time, my high end cable box called "Countour" by Cisco. First of all, I think the new Countour box is great, provides much richer UX and dramatically improves the overall viewing experience. I also want to add that this idea is in no way a knock on Cox, as they provide excellent customer service. The trouble is that after 45 minutes of watching this poor tech replace my box - have it not work - then go through process to try another cable box - I realized that this is just out-dated way of my cable company servicing their technology and me, the customer. My idea is that Dell should get into the business of creating an infrastructure for cable telivision providers that would be a combination of a cloud infrastructure that would host each cable customers account, including DVR, preferences, movie purchases, etc and a front end Dell Wyse thin client. If that were available today and I was a customer, my initial call to my cable provider would have never happened because the hardware in my home (cable box) would be highly reliable, energy efficient Dell Wyse thin client. Software glitches - no longer an issue because the image would be in one central location and maintained directly by my cable provider. The technology exists today and maybe this solution is already in the works. Just had to take moment to put this out there if there was a chance we all could avoid a call to the cable guy! Thanks for your consideration.

Hi Gentlemen, My idea is to Boot a Windows PC from a USB drive with windows and applications already installed on it,since only operating system I've seen using this method is the Bunet linex,( as my friend told me). It have many advantages no viruses can transfer to a cluster of computers in institutes , no software licensing issues is required, and the hosting PC resources will be limited no HD or. Small one no licensing for the PC and more advantages can be seen once starting the prototype.
