Fortune Finders is an app that creates scavenger hunts. Is take random barcodes from items you find in everyday stores and has people go to find and scan them. Now it is also a race. The first people to finish the hunt wins a prize. There is a $5 membership monthly, or $50 for the year. Some of the hunts will be team hunts, but most will be individual hunts. Monthly prize drawings, and lottery winners are also being worked out in hopes of being apart of the membership. Shoot please let me know if this is an idea that will keep people interested and if its worth the investment, as well as any ideas you might have. Thanks.
Hey with the next version of AlienFX can you add a heartbeat features for all the lighting zones?
Well, this idea is not radically different. But if dell can provide me that it will fulfill to purchase one of my dream notebook.Let's start: In India there is still no notebook which offer a full HD(1980X1080) in a 15.5 screen size, with full aluminium body(there may be two option here i.e. one with antiglare screen, another with HDglare but both with 1080p). The overall foot print of the notebook must be slim(~22-23mm). Now this makes normally notebook hotter(slimmer the profile, hotter it becomes during gaming, or processor intensive work) . May be dell engineers try to find some innovative way of cooling. Other specs include: 3rd gen intel corei7 processor, 8gb ram with upgradability option till 16gb, 2gb high end ddr5 graphics (AMD8870), Harddisk both SSD and HDD cusatomization option must be there to cater to the need of the various customer. The battery back up 4-5hr, battery slot too must be accessible. A standard DVD Slot, backlit aluminium key board and other standard I/O's. If dell can keep the price of this machine close to 70-75k (Rs. 75,000/-) its gonna capture majority of customer who loves gamming/professional work in a slimmer profile. In IIT Campus there are lot many who otherwise opt for macbook pro .There is a XPS 15 machine which is closer to this(its fall short in graphics, and heat management, upgradability), but unfortunately dell doesn't offer it in India. I myself looking for a machine with that specs. If dell can provide me that this year(2013), will remain greatful to this company, ever.

Hows about Dell does it's job and releases some new drivers for the GTX 260m, g9400m and all the other laptop GPUs the charged customers hundreds for. I mean, we actually had to pay service fees for the driver software on the computer, the old drivers have never worked correctly, cause the laptops to crash and if you call Dell they want to charge you more money for something they won't even actually help you fix. I want to play Skyrim the way I should be able to on Windows 8, (supported on the newer NVIDIA drivers by the way) and I shouldn't have to wonder if my games will freeze 5 minutes in to playing, forcing me to hard reset, and if they don't freeze or crash my computer they drivers cause so many graphical glitches it's almost impossible to play a game that the computer should be able to play on the highest settings... which it can't because the drivers don't work right, and I'm talking games that are older then the laptop and gpu iotself, games that the gpus run fine on other laptops from other companies. I payed 4700 dollars for a gaming rig that doesn't play games. [redacted]

The Tactx accessories have a fairly big name when it comes to Pc gaming-for the wrong reasons that is and it's just stupid things that let it down which are:The headset mic and audio quality is very bad considering it's a £59.99 headset replacing the mic and earphone themselves to newer better quality parts would certainly bring it up to scratch. The Tactx mouse left click,I'm currently using it and the ergonomic design is great infact the mouse itself is amazing but I'm worried,I've read up that after as little as 2 months(source:http://reviews.dell.com/2341n/330-5797/alienware-alienware-tactx-mouse-reviews/reviews.htm) the left click begins to hold and radomly click and this isn't a minority. The Tactx mouse cable,I've had it for around two weeks and I'm seeing signs of bending damage where the cable has permanently bent a single way and the raw wiring is sticking out.I hope a few of my ideas are considered implemented-Thanks.

I recently decided to update my ram on my computer after installing a new graphics card. I currently have a Inspirion 580 desktop tower, 840w power supply and a Radeon R7770 graphics card... everything was running fine till I went from 8gb ram to 16gb ram. I check the hard ware specs on the computer, where it states that it can handle 4gb dimm, so I install four identical chips after using just two and now I am getting BSOD. After researching into it, the bios that dell provided only supports 8gb of ram. After reading online I found many other people with other models of Dell computers experiencing the same problems. I would like to see Dell develop new bios with increased capabilities to handle the growing demand of the operating systems and programs that run on them (MMO gaming in my case).

With Steam (market giants for game sales) pushing hard toward the console guys (SteamBox console has been confirmed at VGA's) and Big Picture Mode as well as the cusp of new "next gen" consoles, I think AW should make their laptops able to be used as consoles as well (a little better than what they have now). I'd hate to see people leave AW for this new SteamBox or even worse consoles.A few rough ideas...1) HDMI out that will auto correct/resize and fit screen resolution without tweaks. - HDMI 1.4a + - 3D Sound2) IR receiver to allow remote powering.3) Continue Bluetooth4) Internal Wireless Xbox 360 Receiver (Could also be used to remote power) - We buy laptops to avoid all the external accessories and clutter - The Xbox Controller is used by many developers and is a great controller. - If MS won't allow it, or you don't want to pay them... just leave an internal (inward facing) USB and a little bit of room for the receiver. Even an access panel cover like on the HDD... this way the end user could add it easily with major Mobo mods. The end goal would be to allow the user to leave their laptop @ the TV should they wish and never have to leave the couch and open the lid to enter a password or accept a Windows prompt (this I have clue on what to suggest)

I thought it would be a nice to have a light version of Alienware laptops that can play modern games, this idea came up to me when I found the laptop from asus ( ux42vd) with gt640m while having a weight of 1.8kg. I think that these specs could make a great alienware ultrabook, that would have a great design and pretty lights! This would please us, old m11x owners that crave for portability, design and games!

Currently there is only 1 set of monitors that I know of that have been built for the multi-monitor crowd and they were developed by Samsung. They are lackluster panels that are overpriced. I would really like to see a whole suite of thin bezel monitors that you can put side by side to form a near panormic image. The ideal case is there would be a low cost version, and mid-range business version, and a high cost graphics design version. All of which should come with vesa mounting brackets. A possibly better idea would be to give the option to remove the bezel entirely and give the ability to interlock conjoining monitors together. Then somehow connect the monitors together to support local led dimming.A very modular/ standard design would be great. The ability to use a "center" monitor as the 2560x1080 monitor I saw from Dell earlier with 1920x1080 montiors on either side would be the ideal setup.

Just bought an M18xR2 because I travel all the time and I don't want to give up gaming (which the only thing keeping me sane on long trips sometimes!). The only reason I got the M18 is because I can't get the 680M video card in a smaller offering. I don't particularly care for or need a 18" screen or a full keyboard; I have a nice big monitor everywhere I travel (work or hotel TVs). Let me have something I can game with and that won't kill my back to carry! Also, resolution really needs to vastly improve. Calling it a gaming laptop with only 1080p on 18" is embarrasing when my iPad is running 2048x1536 on a screen one fourth that size. At iPad resolution, you could get an 18" almost to 4k! It's a good thing for Dell that Apple doesn't offer a 680M in their Macbook Pro or Alienware would have missed out on my $5,500 purchase last month.
