The XPS 15 has Full HD. Why not the XPS 17?. It would be the perfect Notebook with a Full HD screen. My 4 year old 17" Inspiron 9400 and also my Studio 17 has Full HD and I love those display so much!! It is great to work with this resolution and watching Blurays on it I would buy the XPS 17 right now if it has Full HD. Please DELL, put Full HD Display in the XPS 17! If DELL will do that then please in Germany, too. Thanks Status Update: Please see bill_b's comment for further details. Thanks for posting!

Why in the world would you limit this? Do you not want people who need battery life and more powerful graphics to buy your products? This makes no sense at all! It's just ridiculous. Absolutely backwards. Do you have any idea how many laptops there are out there that make use of Optimus and high mid-end GPUs? Because I don't. I haven't seen one yet. And yet you do not want to take advantage of this conspicuous absence in the laptop market? Fix it. Status update: This idea is currently Under Review. Please understand that we will be limited in what we can discuss during this process.

Word is the quad-core Intel Core i7 processor will be adapted for laptops in the latter part of 2009. Dell absolutely needs to capitalize on this development by offering the i7 processor in its XPS line of laptops. The price needs to be kept well-below the current price of Dell's quad-core Precision M6400, which starts at $3500. Status Update This is Partially Implemented as the mobile Core i7 processors being available in the Studio line of laptops

Dell needs to compete with HP's Touchsmart PC's. Offer the XPS ONE 20" and 24" with a touchscreen option. Let it have multitouch capibilities with the upcoming windows 7 software. Also provide software for touchscreen capibilities while windows 7 is not out yet. HP has cool touchscreen software available. Have the software capable of running on linux computers as well! BRING TOUCHSCREEN TO PC's. AND HAVE TOUCHSCREEN MONITORS AS WELL! p.s. make the xps one thinner Status Update Although not offered in the sizes requested, a touchscreen is available. Please see this blog for more details.

I was looking to buy a small LCD TV and DVD combo system and remembered the XPS One. I figured it would be worth spending a little more to have the added functionality. Unfortunately the system doesn't seem to be wall mountable. I thought maybe I could rig it somehow but the ports are all in a location that I would need to remove it from the wall to even plug in a USB drive. Dell should make a new XPS One with ports around the edge and the ability to mount it on a wall. Status Update Per jervis961's comment, look at features and you will see you can mount the Inspiron One on the wall.

I like the Studio XPS line but I'm not too keen on the leather strip. My fear is of it wearing out or pealing off the system. Leather is usually glued on and that wears out over time especially with heat. How about making the leather optional? Status Update Leather is now optional. Check out the Studio XPS line for details.
I'm really interested in the XPS One 20 all-in-one PC, but it's unavailable through Dell Canada. Customer Service tells me I can't even order it through the US website as they won't ship outside the country! Is there a good reason for this omission in the market? I'm sure there must be interest in this type of product, or Apple wouldn't sell i-Macs in Canada. HP and Sony also have entries in this segment, as does Avaretec. Why not Dell? What I'd really like to purchase is an all-in-one without the TV tuner, as I already have an excellent TV, and would never consider watching movies or TV on a 20" or 24" screen. The rest of the features in the XPS One series are excellent. Thanks from Ontario, Canada Status Update Please see chris_m's comment

Linux Ubuntu x86_64 and Vista x64 editions support 8GB without any hassle. It's an important feature when working e.g. with many virtual machines. Please enhance your BIOS to support 8GB for the XPS M1330! The M1330 features the PM965/GM965 chipset and for this chipset you developed already support for >4GB for the following notebooks. Just reuse the code: . Dell XPS M1730 8GB support . Dell XPS M1530 6GB support . Dell Precision M4400/M6300 8GB support We'd even appreciate this feature as an undocumented and unsupported feature. Just there and working for those who need it. Status Update 8GB memory is now supported in the XPS M1330
