Now that Dell has acquired Alienware, I think the two companies should merge and let Alienware take over Dell's gaming division. Drop or keep the XPS line, but let the gaming line be called Dell Alienware. This would allow Dell to mass market some of Alienware's exclusive home theatre products and take advantage of the slick design and appeal. Alienware already has a slick design, latest technology, high quality. With Dell's mass production and able to lower the price, Dell could quickly gain more consumer base to help drive their gaming line. Status Update You can now purchase Alienware products on Dell's website
Robin Breden and Mary have discovered a potentially huge problem with Windows 7. Dell does not supply the recovery CD/DVD any more. You have to make your own. The average computer user dosen`t have a clue of how to do this. That also leads us to tech support having increasing call volumes. We all know that tech support is more trouble than it`s worth, being outsourced. I see many more unhappy Dell consumers, and far less new sales. Read the article http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/dsn/en/document?journalid=83DDBDCC6EFF0D96E040AC0A66E907B9&docid=62A668E1C399857AE040AE0AB8E12942 I propose that Dell offer the CD/DVD at the nominal cost of $10 or so. I paid that for the disc`s for my Dell pc. Consumers don`t mind paying a little extra for the peace of mind, incase of hard drive corruption or failure.

Someone recently posted the suggestion of using slave labor... I urge DELL exec's to post a clear statement that will summarize the company's labor practices... fair wages for work.. safe working conditions... choice(!)... Status Update Dell makes a clear stand about its policies and how we hold our suppliers accountable.
