I provide indusrial automation and end-to-end business solutions to my clients. The industry lacks a viable industrial tablet suitable for Class I, Div 2 environments, US, Zone 1 internationally. Put gorilla glass on it, Otter IP65 case, & WiFi, 4G LTE network, and Dell would have a hot market for the product...Talk to me

I had the opportunity to try out the XPS 12 Duo and the Latitude 10 tablet. I've also tried another tablet running Windows RT. I tested all three for three - four weeks at a time. While they were all ok, after three weeks none of them felt right. The XPS 12 Duo which was my favorite didn't get long enough battery life, and it was a little on the heavy side. Plus the XPS 12 Duo cost too much and I'll never pay that high price. Windows RT tablet was worthless to me as I needed to join to a domain and install some of my Windows programs. Also the performance on it was not very good. The Latitude 10 doesn't have a keyboard dock and if it did I would get sick of keeping track of it when I detached it. I think the perfect tablet would be the Latitude 10 specs combined with the XPS 12 Duo design. Priced at $649 to start this would be a real winner but make sure to add a back webcam and the removable battery.

What I'd really like in the center of my home is a smart family calendar. I'm tired of the build-up surrounding our calendar: reminders of field trips, sports try-out dates, fundraiser sales, art work, kids chore lists, etc. Most of this paper stuff comes home with my kids from school. It would be great to be able to scan or take pictures of all this stuff and keep in on a poster-like tablet that can be hung on the wall for everyone to see. Better yet, it would be able to send and recieve files (such as permission slips) from our local school. It would need to be accessible to everyone in the family from our smart phones so we can add something no matter where we are. I'd like to be able to digitally "write" on it so a keyboard wouldn't be nessasary.

As a Real Estate Professional I want 1 product that can do everything for me. Currently I carry an iPad, 2 phones, a mobile fax scanner, and a laptop to do my business. I want something that will do everything and do it well. Large enough for computing small enough to use as a phone. Tablets try; but aren't there yet. And screen size is a problem. Thoughts???? Where are we going with all of this.

HiGiven that ultrabooks have limited space for USB ports, I came up with a possible solution. I most of the time use an external mouse when using my laptop. This requires a USB port, so then I have only one left (given that the laptop has two ports).Would it be an idea to integrate the logitech Unifying into the laptop (inside). I'm sure the actual chip in the Unifying is very small, so should be able to fit it. In this way you could connect your mouse without using any of the USB ports.BTW. I'm well aware that a bluetooth mouse would be an alternative. I do however have very bad experience with bluetooth keyboards and mouse.

Just a bit of background first, being in Audit I use a LOT of paper. Every document must be verified, marked up & signed in green pen. A lot of the work has to be scanned into the computer from source documents, printed, worked on and then re-scanned when completed. A tablet on its own is brilliant for dealing with this, as I dont need to print out everything and re-scan it. Also, a tablet can help me get work done on the run. But what about when i'm sitting at my desk using my XPS? It is far more powerful than a tablet and works much faster. So why not integrate the tablet to work as a dual monitor? I could then be viewing multiple documents on one screen and marking up another on the tablet. Much better than working with stacks of paper OR trying to open and navigate through all the documents on the tablet. A lot of accounting/audit firms are looking at going paperless, the only real secure way to do this AND to see that documents are being marked up is using tablets. If tablets could be used on the run AND as an effective dual monitor with touch input it would revolutionize any office environment.I wrote this same idea last year at about this time, no one offers this capability! Think about it, it would compete with products such as the Wacom Cintiq!

My idea is very simple. 75% of mobile smart phone users have Android phones. Most of those people have micro SD cards in their phones. Can you please make a laptop with a micro-SD card slot so we don't need to have any adapters to transfer files to our phones and/or tablets?

I realize that Dell gave up in the mobile department. Which in the changing landscape of technology, is an extremely bad decision. Alienware is a master at creating hardcore gaming rigs. But, I think they could create a killer smartphone that could be used to play amazing games! So I've created designs and a spec sheet Specs: Custom SoC comprised of four Cortex A15 cores and a PowerVR G6630 PowerVR G6630: http://withimagination.imgtec.com/index.php/powervr/powervr-g6630-go-fast-or-go-home 4GB LPDDR3 RAM 5.0" 1920x1080 Super LCD 3 display 13 Megapixel Sony CMOS Sensor Anodized Aluminum Unibody Enclosure GSM/CDMA LTE Capabilities 2.0MP Front Facing Camera Sensor 6-axis Gyroscope 3500mah Lithium-ion Batter packThis is a Revised Design!

Today we have a number of digital products in the market such as laptops, tabs, mobile phones, TV that can be used as a computer, desktop PC that can be used as a TV etc. The question that arises is that what is the future of hardware technology? At present, a consumer who has bought a laptop. a tab and a mobile phone has spent money to buy 3 processors, 3 RAM, 3 storage media. In simple words, he has spent 3 times the money that he should have paid. Also he/she faces the problem of carrying different devices. Besides security is another threat if one is using so many devices.I have a solution to this problem. I have arrived at this solution through logical deduction some 2 years before but I am sharing it now.SOLUTIONThere will be a device containing a microprocessor (equivalent to those used in pc's), a RAM (==PC), memory and battery. The device wil be approximately 4.5 to 5 inches diagonally. This will be the COMPUTER that people will be buying. People will be able to invest more in this device because this will serve 3 purposes. This device will be designed to be integrated with other hardwares like displays of different sizes from 4 inches to 20 inches, external power sources, speakers and LED TV's.Screens of various sizes will be produced and this device can be docked on their back. If this device is docked behing a small screen like 4 inches, this will become a mobile phone. If this device is docked behind a 15 inch screen, it will turn into a laptop, if this device is docked in a device that is linked to a LED TV, it becomes a digital TV, if this device is docked behind a 10 inch screen, it becomes a tab.In this way the user will have the same device can be used in different ways. If a person is going to office, all he has to do is to dock it to a amall screen to be used as a mobile phone. On his way back to home, he may take some pictures and download some songs. At home he may dock it to a 15 inch screen to check mails or watch a movie. This also ensures that data can be accessed at different platforms besides security, ease of use and economy.Challenges:To make a device of such a small size and having the power of a PC. We already have softwares like Windows 8, OS etc that are capable of running on different platforms.
