Status: Partially Implemented

With the recent release of Windows 7 there is a built in fuction for touch screen navigation through windows that has been catching on within the past few years. The Studio One and the Latitude Tablit has been a few of Dell's introductions to this technology. I would like to see touch intagration options for LCD descktop screens as well as Notebook and Netbooks. I would also like to see the LED backlighting within these desings because of green reasons. Rubberize netbook case

I love my Mini 9.  I run XP, office 2007, etc. and I use it more than my standard laptop.  However, it slides off my knee, gets scratched, etc.  I would pay extra (~$15) for a thin rubberized coating on the entire surface, similar to the coating often applied to PDAs, cases, or tools. (Product) Red for Mini's

my idea is simple. do what you have done with the studio line, and XPS, and create a Product red edition of the minis - or just covers like the studio 15 and 17. this would add more choice the the mini range, and i think you would have many people buying them.

The new Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope GNU/Linux has many great features to make it a significant upgrade from the 8.04. Some improvements are: Much faster boot times due to ext4 file system and other optimizationsCleaner graphics and a better notifications mechanismNewer Linux KernelImproved Power ManagementImproved cd burner applicationImproved handling of multiple monitors, formerly a sore spot for LinuxPerformance increases across the boardBetter themes and backgrounds I also suggest that Dell keep with the latest LTS upgrades yearly to remain cutting edge. Dell should offer a Dell Mini 10

Dell should offer a Dell Mini 10 I love the portability of my Dell Mini 9, but there are a LOT of compromises necessary to fit into a device this size, and many will prefer the 10-inch size being offered by a lot of your competitors. Keep all the good things about the mini-9, like the STEC flash drives, and the easy access to expansion slots, and make it in a 10-inch form factor. Increase the keyboard size a little.  Go with a 10.2-inch screen.  I'd love to see you do something with narrow bezels and edge-to-edge keyboards and all that, but even if you just clone the Mini 9 in a larger form factor, that would be fine.
