The idea that I have is to make the siutation less innocuous; my computer is currently being fixed by Dell, and I am on a Windows computer of a different manufacturer, my minimal. I know I do not like apple. I also know that there is editing of metadata by governing authoritiess, because why wouldn't there be. So my quest to understand this penumbra is less than visceral. I hope this idea generates a few good things that prior to my posting, is less pervasive yet more understood (by me, and those interested in predication). Therefore, this idea here is being edited as I write this message, yet I have no way to prove it.

The current network switch mounting bracket has 2 holes to attach it to the rack. I propose that we make the mounting bracket with one hole on top and one OPEN hole (like a lowercase N) on the bottom to make the installation process easier. The installer would drive the bottom screws in loosely and then hook the switch on to those screws and then drive the top screws to secure the switch to the rack and finally tighten the bottom screws to completely secure the switch. This would make the installation far easier and safer.

How do we get more performance from smaller and smaller form factors? MSATA SATA3 SSD! This is an idea for the Alienware "high end performance" line of laptops. Instead of the current single MSATA slot that most laptops have, implement dual / triple / quad MSATA SATA3 slots that users can install SATA3 SSD's into! We would be able to create dual / triple / quad RAID0 arrays! Now, the HM77 chipset only provides 2 x SATA3 controllers, so Dell will have to add addtional controllers from either Marvel or ASMedia for the triple and quad SATA3 options. The price of MSATA 64GB SSD drives has actually DROPPED BELOW the price of standard 64GB SSD drives. Advantages of this system vs conventional SSD: - Much thinner profile - Much lighter weight - Equally fast SATA3 performance - Cheaper cost - Ability to RAID in much smaller physical space Disadvantages: - None, no one is doing this yet!

The installation process for discovering an Equalogic for initial configuration requires the discovery tool to be connected on the same network as Eth0. This causes multiple network connections to be made throughout the installation/configuration procedure. We do a lot of remote installs. Reducing the number of times network connections are made would simplify the configuration task. If the discovery tool could discover connections via the management interface this would mean we could physically connect all lan cables once.

Hi,My Idea is.... Try to Educate and Force to Customer that Auto Suuport Feature should be Enable. Dell is monitoring the hardware problem for customer support and trust. For example in NetApp they are applying this policy and I have practical experience that in long week end NetApp Storage Hardware fail when they came back to the office and they call us we informed that.... NetApp already send his defective part to us and now we are comming to replace this part for your storage..... Believe me they are very happy and when the warranty near to finish they force to us upgrade the warranty for next 2 years.... RegardsAsim

The idea is to start moving the "heavier" or bulkier or power consuming stuff away from the laptops / tablets to keep them mean and lean...If the monitor had, besides a USB hub, a DVD RW , extra storage (hard drive), even a memory RAM boost, this could justify a unique connection to a Dell notebook/ ultrabook/ tablet and you would be able to create "completing products" - buy the tablet/ultrabook with the Dell monitor back home so have it lean and mean on the go and a computing monster back home...

Your product is regularly used about the server which does not need a data center.Isn't there such any server?Earthquake resistance -> a server is protected with shock absorbing material.Water resistance -> server which waterproofs (I think that this is made simply.)Durability -> UPS is included in a server from the beginning.About a waterproofing tabletIsn't there such any table?Waterproofing tabletPlease contact me, if the above is patented.I would appreciate your favor.

During a recent dell.com website search and a chat with a Dell representative, trying to replace an aging Dell Inspiron laptop, I was disapointed with four(4) of the NON options I could not get with an Inspiron "R" series unit recommended to me, and my subsequent self-tour through the latest Inspiron laptotop building process, namely 1.) NO Intel Processor(s), 2.) NO Windows Office Products (trial or otherwise), 3.) No Windows 8 OS, and 4.) and NO Security System installed (trial or otherwise), without which would-have/should-have allowed for a lower priced computer I absolutely would not hesitate to recommend to the prospective users/buyers for which it was intended. And as I so often have done, probably would have bought one for myself, especially form Dell. Dell remains one of my first places to take a look at the latest/best Computer Hardware Configurations but I was disappointed this time NOT to see an AMD Processor Option nor, as a minimum, a Windows 7 Home Premium OS option. Most 'smartphone' users also have an inherent distrust for Security Systems and nickle-and-dime options(trialware) that prove soooo distractful and intolerable to them(plus myself). The system(s) recommended to me would undeniably provide the hardware for the intended usage/tasks and would be a quantum leap towards the 'leading edge' of technology and I will leave that choice for prospective buyers. Personally, I would format the HDD upon receipt and start form there. Could I buy an Inspiron as such?FDRG

It would not be bad if you could make a laptop with 2x harddrives and one of it would be completly removable. the removable one could have a usb conector build in itself so you can transfer data or conect it to other computers or use it as a hard drive for private data and in some cases you can detach you "private" data. something like usb key but much bigger and built inside the laptop

Hi I would like to have to enter DNS-Alias Name instead of "only" IP. This is in EqualLogic Group Configuration, Tab Notifications, E-Mail Configuration Settings. Thanks
