I'm assuming it's going to be refreshed with Haswell/Core 4000 series. What I more or less require for the high end skus (i5/i7) Iris or Iris Pro graphics Make the dock stand a proper dock with gigabit ethernet, additional monitors, usb ports, etc (or make it an optional more expensive dock/stand) Thunderbolt and/or hdmi/displayport for a second monitor (possibly in the dock) 256 and 512GB ssd options I would like to replace a 17" desktop replacement laptop with the xps 18 tablet/all-in-one. Laptops are getting smaller these days... and I like the mobility, but I like larger keyboards and mice so if I can keep a decent screen size (18" vs 13-15" for a nice laptop) and just skip the laptop keyboard/trackpad altogether it seems like a win to me. I always prefer wired ethernet though (see dock) and use at least one additional monitor (again dock) and do occasionally play some games (iris/iris pro) and do some couch web browsing (tablet). Ideally I could remove the tablet from the stand/dock without having to unplug all the usb devices/additional monitor(s). I don't want a usb->hdmi conversion like some of these usb3 docks are doing, I'd much prefer a true external monitor connection.Other nice to haves Possibly a higher res option (like 2560x1600) wacom digitizer

Now a days..the touch phones are becoming so popular..But the important thing ,is safety..In means.while handling a touch the fullsize of the phone is needed...but while speaking its not neeeded..As people would like to talk for more than hour...so people prefer headphones..but a recent research telling that headphones are very dangerous..because there should be distance between the ear drums and the speech sound...And also the sweat may spread on the screen of the mble..That may also affect the phones..But without head phone..its too hard to carry the phone near to the ear..because of its size..so what i am telling is why cant we roll the phone into a pen size...I got this idea from seeing a new laptop which could be rolled and put it into a chart box..itz amazing..so we can use this technology for phone..to make it in a better way..

An increasing amount of homes now have connectivity to the internet, and share their internet within their own home. With the increase in numbers of "Wireless utilities" such as mobiles, printers, HDD's, stereo's, fridges, and other appliances, there is a gap in the power market where I think my product could fit in. I recently swapped my energy supplier and was sent a free gift. The gift was a home energy monitor and proved very useful. With a clip around my incoming power supply (Near fuse box) and a USB charged display I could see exactly how much power my home was consuming at all times. The product I would like to invent and brainstorm is simple. It is a pass-through plug socket. The device would be plugged into a socket, and an appliance will then be plugged into the invention. No need for it to be oversized should be about the same size as a timer plug. The invention will have the following abilities plugged in:1. A Micro-USB Socket on the bottom (Used to plug into a laptop/Computer for programming of Wi-Fi network presets)2. An Ammeter (Used to digitally record the power useage through the device)3. A Wireless antenna (Used to transmit data to the wireless router and recieve instruction)4. A Flow switch (Remotely or locally controlled to enable/disbale power throughput)5. A small display (LCD) The product is made of 3 parts:1. The socket previously mentioned2. The software to be described (free downloadable)3. A Mobile App (Free downloadable)Sockets are the only thing purchasable and can be purchased individually or in packs of differing quanities. For example A house owner buys 4 sockets (a starter pack with mains clip and USB lead included). He wraps the clip around his mains input exactly like the ones you recieve from British gas etc. He then chooses 4 appliances he would like to monitor/control. He chooses:1. His Fridge2. His pond3. A living room lamp4. His childs TV.He then downloads (free) the configuration and control software available for the product. On his mobile he downloads a similar more compact version of the software as an app. He then plugs via USB the first of his sockets into his computer. Using the software he is prompted to pick his Wi-Fi network (being picked up by the USB powered socket) and enter his network key. The socket is then greeted on the network and settings are saved to a small memory within the socket. It is allocated a unique id corresponding to the network such as Socket<serial number>. On completion of this he repeats the steps for all 4 sockets. He then places his sockets in situ. On his computer he can now see with the program, all of his sockets readings as they work. Each of the sockets recieves its power from the outlet they are plugged into so require no batteries. They are beaming out constant ammeter info onto the pre-programmed network for their own usage which is picked up by the computer with loaded software on that network (a simple pairing). The software can now be used to monitor the total power useage (by the clip on the mains emitting wi-fi ammeter info) and all sockets within Wi-Fi range. This can be displayed and monitored with lots and lots of tools as it is all read on his personal PC.Using the software he can also remotely turn on/off the socket. This is brilliant for the kids TV at bedtime (no more sneaking the TV on whilst mum and dad arn't watching). The pond has also been programmed using the software to work on a timer. Coming on at 9:00am and off at 6:00pm (except sunday). That is how flexible the software possibilites are. Also, if the man decides to go on holiday he can remotely turn on or off his living room lamp using his mobile app, and an external encrypted port into his wi-fi router protected by username and password. All of this and still monitoring the useage of his fridge in comparison to other fridges measured by other users of the software all over the world. Brilliant for encouraging true power reading consumer tests when appliances can be named on the software eg.Socket 1 = "Samsung EPL500C 42"HDTV". Does it really run at only 200W in the average home. Data can be collected and collated centrally using the internet connection connected to the PC or mobile.Lastly is the ability to expenentually expand on the power monitoring. More sockets can be purchased at any time and just be programmed to join the network. With no maximum capacity and ever shrinking technology, the scope is available to incorporate this product smaller and smaller into different designs and styles to suit many different houses and tastes. Please let me know if this has made you think. It certainly made me think.[Personal information redacted by moderator]

I need a 7 or 8 inch tablet with internal WIFI, SIM card for 3G/4G, and genuine GPS facility for bushwalking and historical research. Dongles are too fragile to use on the move and triangulation GPS is useless outside mobile coverage areas. Smart phone screens are too small for accurate off-road navigation.

There needs to be an ARM based tablet along the same line as the xps 10 or latitude 10 but with a few enhancements. Keep or improve the keyboard dock of the the XPS 10. Consider implementing a new docking port that alows the tablet to be docked in a flipped position so that when the keyboard is closed the screen can be facing in or out so that a user may keep the tablet in the dock while using their tablet touch only. Add a Wacom graphics tablet style preasure sensitive touch pen feature to the tablet to enable handwriten note taking, diagram drawing, or anotations on pdf documents, ebooks, powerpoint slides etc.. DITCH WINDOWS!!!! The market has spoken no one wants an ARM based windows tablet. Other than microsoft office there are no apps for the OS. Windows slows down the device, waists the storage capacity, and inflates the cost of the tablets. Windows RT also prevents users from installing a different OS if they would prefer to do so. Instead use Android as there is actual app support. Consider using Ubuntu touch when it is ready. Switch to a 16:10 or 4:3 display in the tablet and also consider using a high PPI screen. 16:10 looks better and a higher resolution would be beneficial to drawing and writing. Make the tablet price competitive with other android tablets. By ditching windows you will have eliminated most of the extra cost so that should not be a big problem. Allow users to unlock the bootloader and make open source drivers available.

design and build a peripheral that would be used with my current desktop tower at a price that would compete with current tablets on the market. under $500. you would need to design a way to send a video and audio signal from the pc to the display around the home. the display should be available in a few different sizes eventually but begin with the 10" as a starting point. the display would need to talk to the wifi in the home to send the touch imputs, camera, and mic back to the pc. the proposition here is that consumers could purchase one central pc in the home and possibly run several "virtual" computers around the home for all the family members in a small portable tablet form. mom has a tablet in the kitchen that she uses for recipes and entertainment. dad has a tablet in the living room to surf the internet while he watches television in the family room. the kids have a tablet they can use for games and homework. instead of upgrading all these devices the consumer could increase the memory or hard drive storage or add a faster processor with more cores etc... obviously this would be a huge opertunity for business users as well. the display would need a battery suply capable of 6-8 hours normal use. possibly an add on mouse or keyboard option and a dock to charge the thing. Whatever company is first to bring this idea to market could re energize the consumer pc market and challenge the ipad. using virtual machine technology it would be fairly easy to design a system to support 4-8 devices from an 8 core machine if it had enough ram. Intel was working on a wireless display scheme for a while but i think it never really worked as hoped.

It's ear buds, but there's 4+ buds.I'm going to say up to 4-6 since regular earbuds tangle easily.

Have you ever had trouble texting or typing on such a small touchscreen. Well that's why I was seeing why couldn't Apple and/or Microsoft make a bubble inflate/deflating screen. Now some of you might be confused on what the bubble screen is. The screen would inflate bubbles over the letters and numbers on the touchscreen keyboard, so it would be more accurate and more efficient to type.
