AMD has already publicly demonstrated the new Trinity core APU and it appears to be an excellent performer. I doubt anyone will argue that there is definite demand for thinner notebooks with improved 3D capabilities. I personally am going to be purchasing a Trinity-based notebook and would definitely prefer it to be in the form of a thinner 14" Alienware, XPS, or Latitude. I also work at a desktop support company and have many contacts within the game development community here in Austin. So Dell has the potential to gain from my recommendations if they decide to produce what I'm suggesting. And I'm proposing this with the requirement that Dell offers virtually identical configuration options that they afford their Intel laptops. I can't begin to describe the frustation when I attempt to configure one of the few AMD laptops currently offered by dell: only one or two processor options (no option for A8), no option for dual graphics, and no option for 3-year warranty. If Dell is going to do this, then it might as well not bother even offering an AMD option. Also, while am impressed with Dell's new ultrabook, lets also see a version with AMD's 17-watt Trinity, which will undoubtedly be less expensive and have superior graphics. Thank you!
