Display Resolution >1366px

Agreed, but don't expect that to happen on a 13.3" computer.

This is the problem with 16:9 aspect ratios. Earlier, Dell made 14.1" laptops with screen resolutions of 1440x900. I think that would have been much better than the current UltraBook, but don't expect Dell to do it.

Make Dell Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, 7 .iso Files Available to Download

Thu Jan 12 22:02:13 GMT 2012 - Jan 12, 2012

It's been a while since I last posted here....

I like the idea, but there are two gripes I have with it:

(1) I think Dell might use this download program in order to not include reinstallation media with the computer itself. Instead of making people download the OS, Dell should include a CD/DVD in the box. (I don't object to this ISO idea IF Dell doesn't toy around with actual hard-copy media.)
(2) These ISO files, if this idea is implemented, should NOT include any new version of Internet Explorer. Dell should have a policy of not adding any extra (non-OS/non-driver) software, not even IE unless it's the version bundled with the OS.

Also, I don't think Microsoft will agree to this plan, although that's not a personal issue so much as it is an obstacle to implementation.

THIN IS IN. GET THAT STRAIGHT DELL.

The problem here is that Dell most definitely shouldn't focus on thickness for XPS (or Precision). While thin and light is certainly OK, it generally means worse hardware, which is unacceptable for these models, as they're meant as "performance" lines (it's even part of XPS's name, eXtreme Performance Systems). So, what SKisaGooner said. (Also, I'm not sold on the touchpad, or the keyboard for that matter, on the HP)

However, I agree wholeheartedly that Dell should ditch wedge designs.

No more plastic wrap, please

The interesting thing when I got my Inspiron XPS Generation 2 notebook PC a few years ago, is that I remember that there was actually a rather small amount of plastic wrap.

No more plastic wrap, please

Well, the idea "No more plastic wrap" is somewhat impossible, I mean, Dell cannot eliminate plastic wrap completely. Though I do agree that the amount used can probably be decreased.

Design & Form Factor

If anything, I am afraid, Dell PCs now look worse, not better, than before.
