Notebook wrist rests that don't wear out.

Dell should make the wrist rests on their laptops better so the paint doesn't wear off. While they are at it how about making the inside of notebooks more interesting with color options instead of just gray. Even of you only offer a textured black interior and a black keyboard as an option.

Awesome idea! Black keyboard would really set things off. Also instead of paint, why can't they make the interior out of colored plastic instead? They used to do that.

That makes no sense, if you use it it will wear.

It should not wear out so quickly though. My Inspiron only took a couple of months to start wearing off.

Your key to that answer in in the name "Inspiron". Don't want to sound like a basher but the non-Inspiron's don't wear out as fast. Call me crazy but they make the non-Inspiron's better for some reason.

I know, I find my Inspiron non-inspiring when it comes to looks and build quality.

over 3 years or so, though, my D600 definitely faded a lot in two patches.. it was more from part of my palm than my wrist, but I totally know what you mean.. perhaps they need to rethink their strategy if the newer Inspirons are worse than my older model..
