The earlier color was good, they could've retained the earlier color feel, but changed the design. The font-size too needs a bit of tweak, don't you think?
But then phubert talks about decent autumn colors...does dark blue have anything to do with autumn? Fortunately, blue has not completely disappeared here on IdeaStorm.
FYI: Green & White...Graceful sight Red & White..Ready to fight Red & yellow...Rowdy fellow pink..you cover my heart violet...you attract me black...you make me envy you brown..you make me religious orange ...you make me peely white...your pure heart attracts me
I still say give us options to chose different colors to our liking along with seasonal or monthly colors. Monthly colors can consent of light and dark blues for january red, pink and purple for feb. green for march, blue and purple for april,. yellow for may, orange and yellow and light blue for june - august, brown for september and novemeber, oregange aand black for october and red, green for december. these monthly colors will be an option, themes may also be included. members can just chose what ever color they want from preslected themes
@winoffice - I said the current colors aren't even decent Fall colors... meaning, what is the scheme based on?
Naturally, if you're designing a site, you want adequate contrast and highlight as well as -pleasing-(?) colors.
I don't think any of us has complained about the blue lettering for contrast/highlight purposes. It's just that wierd browny-orangy thing in the banner and buttons. Beginning-to-rot PUMPKIN orange????
Purple color- This is the color of the season (Novemebre 2007). This shade which essentially belongs to the mauve, magenta, rose and indigo dye family, is often cited as an autumn-winter colour. Regarding specific colors: There is no specific spread of colors. Each one prefers the colors they like. Regarding Dress: Each one prefers their choice during festivals and ocassions Beauty consciousness : Mostly people dress up plain everyday, some with mild make up and no make ups...very rarely- heavy makeups but if there is an occassion or an event scheduled as an important ocassion ..we strictly go to the beauty parlors for a facial and for a different hair style to suit the ocassion...;) This is the culture over here dwood....;)
Yeah. our culture is heavy make-up unless the parents of the person were religious and held the "whats inside is what counts" feeling in the kid. americaneagle.com should sum up the clothes of preps, Gangster (In images of your favorite search engine) should give you enough to know what is popular)
Hi dwood, yeah the culture differs...;)....there's nothing wrong in make ups. It just makes the person look great. The idea that sitting with the lipsticks and spending too much time with it and not doing your job or mocking at plain people around is really very bad at your work spot. People should look neat but when it comes to duty..you'll have to concentrate on it. Is it not dwood?
