Dell: As the Default Configuration on LCD's do not provide a custom stand, instead only offer a stand to prop up the display.

Yes, the DFP's are great but it seems these days setting up the perfect ergonomic desk is really up to each individual's preference and own physical dimensions and limitations/advantages. For Dell to satify the masses with one stand is really asking too much. Most desks have people positioning DFP's under books or paper reams to raise them or alter their other desk peripherals to obtain the best setup. Instead of offering only one adjustable stand, instead sell the DFP's with just a plastic back holder to prop up the stand at a very minimum. Then offer 3rd party stands to suite the customer requirements, not everyone has their DFP on the desk, some mount it to the wall or add a arm type stand to be able to freely move the DFP. I've even seen them mounted under a desk top at an angle so the person sits and looks down to view it, its just mounted on to the desk for that.

Also, selling 3rd Party stands can give Dell the opportunity to take a bite out of the price and make some dough.

Good idea. Is it feasible? Not sure, but this forum is about ideas, so maybe Dell can come up with a way to make this or something similar work.

Good idea, jorge! I wonder how the 3rd party thing would work though!
