I think that being able to vote on comments-> the votes on that comment slightly affect the user's points like how commenting affects the idea poster's points.

1) This might inspire people to put up their comments as ideas.

2) If a person made a comment that was AWESOME then we should be able to reward him/her, not just with applause, but with points!

3) The idea poster might want to add the comment of someone into the idea based on a reader's approval

4) Als, a person should be able to specify: Neutral to the idea (default) Posititve to the idea (helps an idea by 5 points, with each comment on the idea worth less point
5 comments that are positive , with each one bringing the worth of that poster's comment (and later comments) down by one (until the 5th comment, which then is worth zero points
Negative comments are the same basic idea, only in the negatives going up

11/15/07		 It's still a big duplicate of #65774. Whatever - I care not, because I've learned that Salesfarce would take at least thirteen years to implement something like this anyway. I've got comprehensive IdeaStorm suggestions I don't even bother to post any more knowing they'll be ignored.

For the record, I didn't demote because it was a duplicate, I demoted because I wouldn't use it, and I dislike the idea of everybody scrutinizing my words trying to analyse how sharp I'm being today. It's just a distraction.
