yep. other sites have 'em ... not that hard to do... but should have a selection of simple ones ... and be able to turn their display on and off (like at varlinux.org!!! (just HOW often DO I say this????)
btw - at varlinux.org, your -character- input is transformed into one of VL's set of emoticons when you have emoticons set -on- (set on by default, I believe you must set it off.. PER comment, not globally)
Well we can't have it all, the thread length was way more important a feature than smiley text to icon conversion, also that makes it near impossible to have a bracket next to a colon or semi colon, assuming you use those characters in your regular text, same for a P and other odds and ends. So lets call it fair that you can include one via img src.
i noticed that -Carbon neutral? That has got to be one of the hardest things a multi-BILLION dollar corporation could EVER take on. But what about the few ppl who dont know HTML?
dwood I have one question 4 U..I viewed the banned Bush interview...but Y is it banned?....does truth get banned?....It would be better if this gets translated and the Middle East community views it as what Saddam Hussein was
It was banned because it is the truth. some exact thing happens in our history book. Many of our US history books makes lincoln sound like he couldnt care less about the slaves when in truth, he couldnt care more.
I have moved to many different states while in school and each year I learned something different about history.
PBS was going to put up a video about Islam members against terrorism, but because the video was showing something positive about Iraq, it got banned (not aired) then the producer of the show went and showed it on Fox.
What the major news corporations dont like, it wont get shown. I am sorry that such a pitiful thing happened but it just does. American news companies are becoming De-sensitized.
sounds really odd....why dont Helen Thomas conduct an interview with Osama? or with Al- Q / or with any terror organizations as why they are upto disturbing the world peace?....I think Helen Thomas will not have an answer for this....hmmmm...too bad...
Media should help bringing out the reality not setting a bad example like this
Oh no..."Media should set a good example by bringing to light the good things around and if US media does like this...it will set a bad example to the media in the other countries...US being a role model, the media should take care and pay more attention in focussing their leaders and their country in a good manner isn't it?....Is there none to voice this?
They have been doing this since the beginning of Broadcasting and Journalism.
True, dwood, but the current mode of "Political Correctness" only makes it worse! And, it seems there are far fewer really GOOD reporters anymore. Are there ANY? And, far too much factionalism. We don't need a biased Fox News any more than we need a biased Liberal press & media.
I wonder if truth has ever been popular... Is that why they say "truth hurts" do you think?? Better to hurt a little now than a great deal later... but how many think that way?
I didn't pay attention to the scandal. I watch T.V. very little compared to most americans, and though when I do, it is usually at the airport, waiting for the plane.
