Dell Portal

I've noticed that Dell's web sites are a bit disjointed and disconnected. It give the impression Dell's left hand doesn't know what it's right hand it up to. The solution is to create DellPortal. A single web site that can take you to any other part of Dells on-line offerings.

As part of DellPortal Dell should create an on-line video library. A bit like StudioDell but with decent content or every on-line video Dell produces. It would give us a one stop shop to finding Dell stuff on-line. Simplifying IT :o)

11/15/07		 Talk about Simplying IT, what a better way to start than to bring out the DellPortal! Simple and clean. I like the thought of it already!

11/15/07		 I would offer something that would simplify IT but.... I am not in the IT dept. Computers are just a hobby.

11/15/07		 I still like it dupe or not. A long time a go the troopers decided (actually before I was told I was one) that you should vote as you did on the original as that if they didn't merge it correctly and added the votes to the original without noticing who voted you'd get more voting in, but of course that would be if they made that error, not us as we can't. So I note the dupe and vote as I did on the original.

11/15/07		 It might be a dupe but then it wouldn't be the first and it's put together better. I think if you like a idea you should vote for it regardless. If both ideas make it to the first page then surely someone has to take note?

I also don't thinks it's a dupe. Not entirely anyway. This isn't just about posting videos. It's about making everything Dell have on-line that is viewable to anybody easier to find.

11/16/07		 See they liked my idea so much they implemented it right away! The trouble is I'm in the UK. The link to Dell community doesn't seem to be on the UK page. Either that or I can't find it. Maybe you need to be an American to join the club?

11/16/07		 True, but not as it has been here. That`s why I said post the idea. Probably nobody on UK Dell site has asked or thought about it. It`s always worth a try, because Dell USA is where the orders come from.
