Make your Solaris and Linux pages more consistent.

On http://dell.com/open you have a pretty absurd paragraph

The main thing to note is that when you choose open source you don’t get a Windows® operating system. If you’re here by mistake and you are looking for a Dell PC with Windows, please use the following link.
Yet such text is missing on your http://dell.com/solaris ...

If you really think that Windows advertisement/paragraph in the dell.com/open page is that important (how much did Microsoft pay you to put it there) - you should put it on the Solaris page too.

However in the more likely case that that paragraph is just misleading nonsense, you should remove it from dell.com/open.

Oh - and perhaps add on all your windows machines "The main thing to note is that when you choose Windows you don't get a Linux or Solaris Operating System".

As long as the same text is in the windows section. "If you're here by mistake and you are looking for a Dell PC with Linux, please use the following link.", otherwise no its not needed.

I think one of these should be included with every Solaris cpu

I've not worked on the Solaris but I've seen them being used. I was just going through some Sun documentation about Solaris, noticed that FF is part of it. And supports both the 32-bit and the 64-bit x86 platforms.

Sun HCL (Hardware Compatibility List) lists a lot of Dell Desktops compatible.

Solaris should be an option for the Precision Workstation series.

@kenjennings: "an option for the Precision Workstation series."

YES!

Please, Dell, not that Solaris isn't just for servers.

I've actually spent more of my career using SunOS-on-Intel than I have using Windows (back on the Sun 386I machines in a medical equipment company). Sun workstations were also the norm in the chip companies I worked in.

Oh yes, I agree, kenjennings! The Solaris on the Precision would be great.
