Thanx Paul...I saved our old chat storm in word and it took 81 pages of it......;)

So, we -can- begin cleaning it up!?

well Paul....you are an Admin right?...hey tell me....and then U can go ahead to clean it up....

Folks - as I've asked before, you should be using a chatroom for your non-IdeaStorm related conversations. There are a number of chatrooms available on the Internet. This is not the place to launch a ChatStorm 2. Thanks for taking it to a more appropriate location.

Oh dear Dell_Admin1, wish U happy chatting as well....;)
Is there a rule that Admins shouldnt ever participate in a chat?

Paul- Whenever I comment something, those comments dissapear today..Y is that so?....
From morning Its been a "disappearing day for me"..My folder that can be created or deleted only by a sysadmin in the CSS Samba Server..disappeared..My colleagues tried locating it..but couldnt...;)
They suddenly shifted my place to the team leader's bay. Suddenly people came and hung huge Vonage banners "not suitable for the floor" huge ones...today's a total mess up. Lots of new joiners on the floor....and a "disappearing day"...;)

Paul- I have a question for you..as stated in The Hindu, Monday, dated October 22nd, 2007, page 14, "Wait for Bush to complete term: Yechury"
When is Bush completing his term?...many people are eagerly waiting to play the fool around?..
phubert

Petzy - no, I am only a -user- at IdeaStorm ... I am an admin at another site and on my job... not here.

I agree with dell_admin1 that -personal- chat should be offline from IdeaStorm. The only chat I have access to is Google's Gmail chat.

I am sure there is room for -some- personal comment here... as long as it is kept fairly brief. And, I would hope I'm not the only one who has appreciated your enthusiasm. But, we really do need to keep it within reasonable bounds.

@dell_admin1 - good luck with that, given so far it's 100% promotions on this idea.

Petzy, Presidential terms are 4 years in the U.S. 2008 is the last year of Bush's 2nd term (2 term maximum). However, the new President (whomever is elected) is sworn-in in January of the following year.

"The current president is George W. Bush, inaugurated on January 20, 2001 to a first term and on January 20, 2005 to a second. His term expires at noon on January 20, 2009, after which he will be replaced by the winner of the 2008 presidential election. "

Quite a few references available from many different sources if you Google.

I am thinking of changing the constitution so that I can run for re-election again. I doubt anyone would really notice.
phubert
10/23/07
The next President may just do that!
otoh, Swarzenegger, I think, would love to change it to allow naturalized citizens to run!
Sometimes I think only George Washington should have been eligible... but preserving him for 200+ years would have been problematic...

phubert - change this into an idea that this be a general chat spot and she cannot touch it as long as it isn't against the TOU. The reason she hasn't touched the original is because in reality it isn't against the rules.

dell_admin1 is apparently getting a little anxious and doesn't see the important link between free discussion and being effective, voluntary, happy idea producers. She would have us be battery hens, lined up, pumping out ideas. I think the rest of us see ourselves as free range, organic egg, producing hens.

Here is how it is and should be:

Here is how Dell want it to be (because no matter what Dell remains a controlled and suited environment)

Paul- I'm happy to hear that you are doing well...so you have to slice your apples henceforth?...;) Take care...
phubert
10/24/07
You as well, Petzy.

I just pulled the site up from the link... however, maybe it's because participation is limited to China, Japan, Canada (except the province of Quebec (those bloody French separatists!! :-) ??) and the U.S.A. ... the limitation is to nations that have a Mozilla OFFICE.
petzymathuram
10/24/07
Paul- guess what?...I tried Mozilla..it said access denied...but much to my shock I tried juzz now after told me to...It's working right now...well, all sounds like magic...;)

so, just a server load issue, perhaps...

Oh I see, well how is Carol's husband?
phubert
10/24/07
Better... and will be transferred to the local university teaching hospital .. apparently they have gotten what they had hoped for, the hospital team has taken his case and will set out to find and treat the CAUSE.
phubert
10/24/07
Oh, and Carol is VERY grateful for YOUR prayers!
petzymathuram
10/24/07
Good..let's continue to Pray for him....
Paul- what is your hobby?
phubert
10/24/07
I don't focus enough to have a hobby... I've dabbled recently in learning -about- (at least, can't yet say I'm LEARNING) Korean and Japanese. Also dabbling in sewing... and thinking of embroidering designs on some old jeans I'm patching... actually used Linda's sewing machine after a little instruction from her. My hand sewing is getting better with the little practice I've had... Linda thinks I'm nuts. I've -always- been nuts, tho... my normal lifelong mode! :-)
jervis961
10/24/07
phubert - idea looks good, I'm sure someone will not be happy about it. I've always said that in the future Dell is heading towards a true community portal which should encompass the community sites and also branch out into things like chat and email. They are partners with Google and MS so I'm sure some things would be powered by partners but accessible through Dell. It only makes sense that the longer you are on a Dell site the more you feel connected to the company and build loyalty to it.

Glad to hear of the hospital change, hopefully it will bring a quick resolution.

Paul- So you like embroidery? good...;)..but will boys like these hobbies?...
which one do you like the most? music, books, movies, going out, visiting places, going for a long drive in a calm road, etc etc...
which one Paul?
well the California fires are getting worser I believe, So Bush will be visitng California 2 mrw as per BBC news...;)
Why is that California often gets victimised with fires?
phubert
10/24/07
Apparently, Petzy, these fires have something to do with environmentalists hindering brush-clearing efforts... or so someone is reporting. Still haven't heard what -started- the fires.

OLD movies, Petzy, walks (especially on COOL Fall days or in cold -storms-), driving in general (for some odd reason almost everyone who knows me thinks I drive somewhat fast...)

CA -is- mostly a dry state, but for the far north. Geographic conditions in the south lead to the well-known Santa Ana winds...

@phubert, I don`t know if you read on chatstorm 1, what I had posted abut the tick and lyme disease. I had the rocky mountain spotted tick fever this summer and am still recuperating from it. We have had an epidemic of this in a 50 mile radius this summer. I know one man that had the lyme disease with the spotted tick fever. He didn`t seek medical attention for a while and finally had to go to the hospital. By the time he was diagnosed with both, he was nearly gone. After two months in the hospital he has come home. I got the tick in the garden and got it off with in a half hour. We have some bad ticks this year.

@petzy, the fires in Ca. are all arson according to the news. The FBI is offering rewards for any information on people that started the fires.

Hi Paul,

How are you today?...when can I get your Birthday treat?. I missed your Birthday treat this year. well Paul, I dont like playing any hide and seek..there's nothing secret on my birthday..My date of birth is 06/11/1974. ......very close to George.H.W.Bush birthday...;). I am a Gemini.

10/25/07
Hi Sugary Beary,

How are you?. How is your cold?.Did you try my home remedy?. well thanx for the info on the Ca fires. My doubt is what happened to Al Gore, the founder of the Gaia religion?...where is he, is he leading the firebrigade team?...Has he come forward with putting off the fire?...;)

Well sugary Beary are you by any chance speaking about the "love tick/ love bug"?...if I am correct?...;)
phubert
10/25/07
@sugarbear - yes, those tick-born diseases are nasty. We seem to have a very low incidence of it in this area, but it DOES happen (not the rocky mountain fever, that I know of, but lyme disease). The latest with Bruce & Carol, however, is that his BP was low yesterday morning and he seemed to need Carol's company... neither is doing well and it's never looked good. With the irreversible heart damage, he may yet not survive.

Yes, I did see your note.

ah, Petzy... day-month-year format, U.S. of course usually defaults to month-day-year, I sometimes use year-month-day (good format for SORTING dates in a program).
badblood
10/25/07
gemini petzy that explains a lot.
phubert
10/25/07
Interesting. I just read the Wikipedia info on Gemini (because I wasn't sure what date format you were using, so I needed to determine whether you meant a November or a June birthday) and wound-up reading the description OF a Gemini... seemed to fit you. For the heck of it, I checked their entry on Scorpio, and was surprised to find how well it described me... a little TOO well. Hmmmm... had never given much credence to Astrology...

Paul- Remember I told you about the Al-Uma and its serial blasts in Coimbatore when I was studying there? in chat storm I ?...The founder has been sentenced to Life term. He created a havoc. The incidents are still fresh in my mind. I still remember how hard it was for me to trace all the students. I was the P.G rep and it was Valentines day. All were out, very thin attendance in the hostel. We had mid term that day...as usual, there were anonymous roses on my desk..juzz for fun o.k.. I ignored everything, becoz it was my statistics and Computer applications exam. I was having my tea and the bomb ripped the air, juzz behind my university. My dad and mum somehow made sure that I was safe, my local guardian at Coimbatore was our close family friend, who is the Vice- president of Bannari Amman Sugars.

Finally the culprit has been booked.... gr8 isnt it Paul?.....;)
phubert
10/25/07
Yes! It's good to see justice work eventually. So many perpetrators of various crimes seem never to be caught. But, the more blatant the crime, the less likely they will escape, I would expect. I can well imagine how the incident would be imprinted in your memory!
petzymathuram
10/25/07
Paul- Really? let me check the wiki for Gemini
@ Ga Ga - what does it explain that much?...
badblood
10/25/07
gemini's are a little obsessive and scattered all at the same time petzy.

Phu is definitely a Scorpio. So is gmat I'd think. I reckon jervis is a capricorn. Jorge would be Taurus. Cosh has got to be aries......
phubert
10/25/07
I've never studied ANY of it, bb.... but I am beginning to find it a little intriguing... I really HATE to be identified so clearly!!! OUCH!

Scorpio?..My dad is a scorpio...;). I know scorpios are tough, but very transparent, hardworking and affectionate arent you?

November - I am Sagittarius.

I was never any good at the spiritual side of things.....
phubert
10/25/07
I wouldn't apply 'spiritual' to Astrology, though I find it interesting, for example, that each of an old reprobate uncle's 3 wives were born under the same sign and each had a variation of the name "Virginia" ... he was intelligent, good looking, tall, and charming... but a fake, constantly spouting flowery nonsense that apparently fooled quite a few around him... (my father's side, fortunately I did NOT take after THAT side of the family!! :-D)

10/25/07
Hey folks, just dropping by, how's things? Another archer here, born November 28.

petzymathuram
10/25/07
Ga Ga...really?, well do you like the camaflouge trousers and T shirts as casual wear?...my husband always selects it and now to the worse..my son likes them, military T-shirts, for the fancy dress competition he prefers Subash Chandra Bose..the founder of the Indian National Army...;), now he is demanding a rain coat in the army style...I'm juzz hunting one for it...;)

I'm really amazed that most of the things, scenario, likings, coincide sooo much around me...;)

I`m the Capricorn
phubert
10/25/07
Now I have to go READ about all these???? Well, maybe I can print them off somewhere... (save on my USB stick...)

BTW
GOOD news update - Bruce & Carol:
Bruce NOW doing so well he may be -released- from the hospital TOMORROW.

All fluid gone from lungs.
Lost 45 pounds.
Expect heart to heal itself.
sugarbear
10/25/07
Hard way to go on a diet, but I`m glad he is getting better. This will take the added stress off Carol also. You can just call me an old goat. Capricorn is a goat. I read the horror scopes occasionally and laugh. I know a couple of people that are really into their predictions. I don`t know if there is any truth to them or not, I`ll remain neutral on it. Several people in this area with big beautiful gardens read the farmers almanac and plant with the moon and sun cycles, their gardens are wonderful. So who knows. One of my friends has her zodiac sign decal on the sides of her pc.
phubert
10/25/07
well, it was the fluid he had gained... so, implies his heart is now functioning adequately

haven't read any daily horoscopes that seemed to be of any value... -was- surprised, however, as indicated above...
phubert
10/25/07
ever see Wee Forest Folk? Linda and I ran across them some years ago in a local art gallery as we were passing by... hand-painted, ceramic mice... collected quite a few, but don't any longer. I grabbed some pics off the web and include them in my "screenthemes" portfolio...

relevance? I had two 'wizard mice' on mine at home when I still had a PC!

10/26/07
Hi Paul- How are you today?...Its raining over here. What happened to the California fires?.
phubert
10/26/07
Yes, apparently he's already gone home from the hospital (latest note from yesterday afternoon).
Linda also is relieved and thankful!
petzymathuram
10/26/07
Paul- that's really nice to hear...;)
By the way what happened to the California fires?
phubert
10/26/07
Since the Santa Ana winds have disappeared and there is now an 'onshore flow' from the sea, humidity is much higher, and CALM conditions are more favorable. Apparently, onshore flow winds are more unpredictable than the Santa Ana's, but certainly, overall, far less dangerous. It will be awhile before all the fires are contained.
petzymathuram
10/26/07
The cable connection is down...perhaps the power is off on the Cable TV operators house...I couldnt watch BBC...;)
It is raining over here....;)...the climate is really good over here...;)
phubert
10/26/07
Well, southern California has quite different weather from Sacramento. And northern California is altogether different again. The state spans desert, high desert, coastal, mountain, and rain forest (near the Oregon border).

I prefer the weather of the Northeast U.S. ...but I grew up there. Still, of late their weather has been unpredictable and often unseasonable. "Typical" weather had been a clear four seasons, with nice, COLD, winters with lots of snow! Outstanding apple country!
jervis961
10/26/07
where in the north east phubert? I grew up in Rhode Island.
petzymathuram
10/26/07
wow I have heard about Washington apples...so California has lots of apples too?.
Paul when apples are placed before you how many apples will you have?...;)
phubert
10/26/07
No, I *did* say the Northeast... New York, Vermont, et al... I grew up in mid-state New York (Syracuse)...

We do have "Apple Hill" in the foothills... I wouldn't say they're near the quality of New York state apples (which I rate better than Washington! ...also like New York cheddar cheese better than any other I've tried...)

Not as many as in the past... because of that one front tooth, I shouldn't try to -bite- apples anymore... have to cut them to make sure the crown doesn't come loose again... until I can have an implant done, instead, anyway... not looking forward to the expense or time (4-6 months)
jervis961
10/26/07
Well the autumn leaves are beautiful in RI right now. We are heading to Boston today and the weather is good so far. I'll check in later while the women folk shop, I would be lost without my cell phone. :)
petzymathuram
10/26/07
An apple hill?...wow...that will be a cool scene.....cheese? wow....;)
Paul- so you have your front tooth in problem?...well have you seen the African community....most of them have their front tooth "gone".....
I wonder why?...especially either one among the Incissors...
Observe carefully...;)
phubert
10/26/07
Mine were both cracked when I was a kid, fooling around... (hit with a baseball then later by a friend's elbow!) the one eventually had to be crowned... with very little tooth remaining. It's stable, just have to use care... might last for MANY years if I'm not silly about it.
