M1730 shouldnt look like the Vostro Notebooks!!!

It looks like an engineer just took a vostro added some color and said volla! WRONG. That is a horrible thing to do. Give it some personality make it original.

08/19/07		 the XPS is a gaming line and why would you make it look like a CONSUMER INSPRION (aka business vostro) anyway?!? Gah wheres the engineering?? Just take the 13.3 inch XPS and scale it to 17in. and you would have had a gold mine!

08/21/07		 I'd say the XPS M1730 pics have 'personality'... a psychotic, antisocial, maladjusted personality. If it were a person, we'd all be safer if it was locked up for life.

08/22/07		 Yes, I do not like this M1730 design: http://www.mobilewhack.com/dell-xps-m1730-coming-soon/< wouldn't buy it anyway because it's too heavy and uses an NVIDIA card, which is not supported by
legal open-source drivers under Linux, but that design is also a no-go for me.

08/22/07		 Yes, we all know the design is horrible but some people way back have whined about having these options and now that dell has delivered they are gonna be paying the price because of what they want. Do you like windows or are you a Linux Geek? (No Offense)

No, I don't like Windows, I hate it. I'll likely have to buy a preloaded copy of it to get the hardware which I want unless Dell offers a reasonalbe laptop with some power in it, not just the 6400 with it's limited CPU selection and limited screen resolutions in Germany. Yes, one could call me a Linux Geek. As soon as I got that new fast, high-res notebook, I'll have a good device for reviewing, sorting and tuning my photos as well as cutting my videos, so I'm not bound to be exclusively a Linux Geek :-)
