It would be nice if gig-Ethernet was avaliable on all PCs especially the XPS line considering its geared towards gaming.

07/30/07		 Newer and newer applications use more and more bandwidth especially dealing with GIS systems. I am not referring to connection to outside my LAN. It makes file copying easy especially if you are using a NAS. There are lots of benefits to having a fast connection and the cost is very minimal.

08/02/07		 Another thing to consider is the amount of users that stream media across their home networks to use devices such as Media Extenders, and DVD quality movies are around 3-6 gigs.

Jan 24		 So long as the power management is decent and the PHY is turned off when there's no link, so I can keep my long battery life, then I'm all in agreement.
