pre-install VLC Media Player instead of Windows Media Player

I suggest this beacuse:

- it reads all types of multimedia files
- it's free
-it's open source
- it doesn't need a lot of memory, and a lot of place on the hard disk
- it's easy to use
- it 's popular

07/18/07		 I don't think it can be done legally. I agree it is the best video player but there is a reason it plays all the multimedia files without external codecs. They illegally (at least in the US) package them in the product... That is why no linux distro comes bundled with vlc either. correct me if I am wrong.

that doesnt mean they are included look on the cd or the dvd to see if int includes apt-get connects a internet server for software same thing with opensuse and other distros you wont find the codec of vlc on them by default you have to install them from third party repos or in ubuntu's case the dont give a shit repo they have which im not sure how they do legelly but hey im not crying

07/21/07		 lol works better on vista then windows media player lol media player cant seem to play without being choppy the old intel chip i have in my test machine

does work really well on windows linux "ubuntu is a linux" and on mac

07/21/07		 eh maybe but the fact that it ran perfectly fine on VLC in fact i had 3 videos running at once on VLC makes me think maybe microsoft cant code to great lol

07/21/07		 dude not my idea lol i did promote it even though i dont think it legally possiable would be nice but either way WMP has to be on a windows machine miscrosoft wont let dell ship windows pc with software like that removed

i do like VLC better then most media players becuase its CLEAN not extra skin shit unless you want it unlike itunes windows media player winamp ect ect
