A NEW IdeaStorm home page is needed badly

Dell needs to redo the IdeaStorm home page to clear up alot of confusion on the site. When you go to www.ideastorm.com you should not be directed to the popular ideas tab but instead a home page with the following.

1. Links to the top 20 overall unique (not duplicte) ideas by title only.

2. Links to the top 20 new unique (not duplicate) ideas by title only
(up and coming ideas)

3. Links to helpful areas like a tip section, post a new idea, ideas in action, moderator update that have a flashing red indicator when they get updated until you view it.

4. Links to ideas based on: popular ideas, new ideas, implimented ideas, coming soon ideas, under consideration ideas, acknowledged ideas, no way in hell ideas(yeah thats a new one that should be added)

5. A nice BIG SEARCH BUTTON.

6. Top contributors section.

The pages needs more color variation than the site currently has (all blue), sections and buttons need to stand out as well.

Dell still needs to incorperate better catagorization and search functions like cosh created. http://www.ideastorm.com/article/show/67110< is a link to his site which is basically a very well done search engine specifically for ideastorm. http://d354310.u39.digiweb.ie/ideastorm/index.htm<

I'm sure this is a dupe or partial dupe but I can't find it using the search button.

If you notice in the bottom right-hand corner, "Powered by Salesforce.com". This is more of a request for Salesforce.com to change their software than for Dell to change IdeaStorm. If I understand Salesforce.com's strategy, Dell would have to request for them to change the way their software works to do this.

Wrong, Dell can create a home page using the www.ideastorm.com web address with everything I suggested and more. All they have to do is make all the links go to the salesforce interface from there. If you notice the Ideas in Action and Moderator Update links go to the actual Dell site, it would be the same only in reverse.

There's ton of little things that can be done to improve it and yes we've covered them all and they've been acknowledged but never implemented. So either they need to hire a web developer to hack at the code from SalesForce or hire cosh who's done it already? Simple fix really (cosh charge them $200/hr they have the money!).

Have an IdeaStorm Home Page

When you go to IdeaStorm home page, you just get flooded with ideas from the "Popular Ideas" section. The home page should have some popular ideas, some recent ideas, and some news from the admins of IdeaStorm.

Dell already has a home page for IdeaStorm. All Web sites have a home page in fact. Are you trying to say that Dell should redo it?
