moderation and voting against

This site needs to be moderated desperately. Users don't give a darn what category their ideas are in, so long as the reach the top. In every category, there's someone screaming about how they want their particular flavor of linux preinstalled and supported or some other nonsense that's completely unrelated to the category. Which brings me to the second part of my idea, and why i'm posting it in the IDEASTORM category, cause my idea is actually about the IdeaStorm site!

I would love to be able to vote against ideas. Not really to take points away from an idea, but an additional score of "voted against". I find a lot of ideas being a wasted effort. Being able to vote against ideas will give Dell more of a focus. Currently the only way to show Dell your opinion is to leave a comment on that item, but if that idea gets lots of votes, I'm sure someone will just glaze over the fact that there's actually lots of comments against the idea.

For example, there's certainly discussion about AMD vs Intel. At this point people who like Intel really don't have many complaints and therefor no reason to voice opinions on the matter. I noticed there are a couple ideas to bring more AMD processors into the Dell line. Without voting against, Dell could fill their whole line with AMD processors and watch their sales plummet. Then some genius would say "Sales plummeted? But that's what the customers asked for." Well not all of us. We're lazy customers and without an easy way to vote that "I think this is a bad idea, or a wasted effort, or otherwise shouldn't be done" we're not going to say anything because we probably like things the way they are already. The simple fact that there is such a site as Ideastorm should prove that Dell has a pretty successful formula already.

There's an idea, how about "Keep up the good work Dell!"
