Better speakes in notebooks

120 points posted to Accessories (Keyboards, etc.), Laptops by rhdv 03/02/07

I know that it is quite hard to produce good sound with the built-in speakers of a note book. But the Dell notebooks (even the high-end XPS M1710 I have) have absolutely horrible sound coming from their speakers. Before this notebook I owned a high-end Toshiba. That sound was actually bearable. The sound of my new Dell is horrible. So the suggestion is to go from horrible to bearable sound coming from the built-in speakers.

agreed.

- My Toshiba had nice Harmon Kardon speakers.
- My GF's powerbook's speakers put my dell's 1530 $1900 to shame.

Poor speakers affects the user experience, video...music for the next 3-5 years. Not a area to cut corners Dell.

FOR SHAME!

I found Asus speakers to be very good.

I was disappointed to discover that the speakers on Dell's XPS 1330 where worse than the speakers of a 5 years old Apple Powerbook.
