clean software system

As a tech, I would like to see Dell make an efford to make a Clean Software System, by this I mean only what a customer want on his or her Dell.

Only programs ask for, no trials, no isp's, no extra's promotions, no virus or security systems for less than a full year, let the customer add these on thier own.

Along with a disc for each and every program and operating system.

So much junk is add to the systems that take up space and are never used, or a customer desides he or she want to change from McAfee to Norton's it is a major problem.

If you have to use you system recovery disc or disc's, you reinstall all the trash again.

Most of my friends and customers would pay extra for a system without all the add-ons they don't need or want. If you need to Include software for special hardware, Cd, DVD. please include but no temp software.

As a none techi i totally agree, i've had my new pc for nearly three weeks, and had nothing but trouble with it, constantly emailing Dell support, mostly about programs that came pre-installed, that i had no idea would be included, and that i definetly did not want, for all the trouble i've had, you would think that Dell would offer to take the pc back and check it over, if only to promote goodwill with a new Dell customer, after all, as i said at the begining i'm no techi, and i find it really hard to follow the instructions that i'm given to rectify problems that to my mind just should not occur on a pc this new!!!.

One more gripe, i dont know if this happened to anybody else, but when i ordered my new pc i was told it would take up to ten working days to be built, i had a phone call that same day that i could expect my pc the next afternoon leaving me with the impression that it was just thrown together, as it was one of the last XP builds, they seem to have gathered all the old stock and put it into my machine, this really does sound paranoid, but that is the way the troubles with this pc has me thinking.
