LED Backlit Displays for Higher Resolutions for XPS M1530

1330 points posted to Monitors and Displays, Sales Strategies, XPS products by whitefrost May 14

The release of the LED backlit 1440 x 900 display is great, but needs to be expanded to higher resolutions most notably the 1680 x 1050 resolution which a large number of people use and are most comfortable with. It would not be a threat to the M1730 as you can keep the LED Full HD 1920 x 1200 for it alone.

This is definitely a dupe, but Ill keep promoting the idea until it becomes a reality. I would say give the option of LED on all resolutions of the m1530, not just expand it to 1680x1050.

17 inch LED LCD(1920X1200) is the best choice.

I promoted it, yet I hope they won't keep 1920x1200 for the 17" alone.

Promoted....we can't even get the 1440x900 LED here in the UK - the 400 million people in Europe are obviously a second class market!
(it's not like we can go online and find out better features are available in the USA, is it? Oh wait...it is.... ;o) )

btw isn't 1920x1200 pretty small on a 15.4"? I have a 20" desktop and that's 1680x1050 which is fine for the size...HD resolution sounds good though

I have the LED LCD (1440x900) and I absolutely LOVE IT!

Every should be able to have an LED screen available in all resolutions in any laptop they buy from Dell!
