Allow option for "Automatically Detect Proxy Settings" in Location Profiler 90 points posted to Broadband and Mobility, Service and Support by chrisp123 May 5 I use the Dell QuickSet Location Profiler to adjust my default printer and control my wireless adapter. However, there is an annoying problem with the Location Profiler: whenever the Location Profiler changes the location, it turns off Internet Explorer's ability to automatically detect the proxy settings of the current network. Location Profiler has a way to specify proxy settings, but it does not provide a way to allow Internet Explorer to automatically detect proxy settings. Every time I change locations, I have to go to Internet Explorer's Tools menu, Internet Options, Connections, LAN Settings, check the box next to "Automatically Detect Settings", clik OK, close Internet Explorer, then re-open Internet Explorer. Please have your software engineers add an option button to the Browser tab of the Location Profiler settings to specify that Internet Explorer should automatically detect proxy settings.
