demistify the CPU upgrade choices

Give us some information about CPU speeds when selecting which CPU to go with when ordering. I would like to see how each CPU performs on maybe 2 or 3 different benchmarks so that I know what I'm getting for my money. Please promote this! Even this tech-savy user has trouble figuring this out!

As a matter of fact I would like to see a simple comparison chart,
that would show most popular tasks (say: ripping DVD's and CD's,
burning audio CD, burning DVD movie, copying 1 GB of data, etc.)
and how long does it take for those tasks to be completed using
a particular CPU. Understandable that those test would have to use
the same set up (RAM, HD, OS, etc.).
